Jilly Goolden has become the second person to be voted off this series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The Food and Drink critic said upon leaving that she believed it was her time to go, and was glad that she hadn’t been voted out first.
She seemed quite surprised when Ant and Dec showed her footage of Carol Thatcher and her back-stabbing fellow contestant David Dickinson as both ladies had taken their microphones off at the time. But she explained that although David and her relationship had been quite difficult at the start of the jungle experience, the situation had since been diffused and Jilly believes that had she remained longer in camp her and David would have become best pals.
However Jilly didn’t seem too impressed with the champagne provided by the I’m A Celeb team, and managed a few mere sips before her interview ended. Must have been that cheap crap from Asda!

With National Anti-Bullying week just passed, this article by Fiona Phillips will make you think twice about letting your children watch shows like the X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing.
Fiona feels that nasty judges like Simon Cowell and Craig Revel Horwood have made bullying cool and appealing to children and goes against everything they are taught at home and school.
As Fiona says “Thank the Lord for Ant and Dec.”

X-Factor rejects the Conway Sisters took a swipe at their mentor Simon Cowell today after his vote booted them off the show
Marie Conway, 22, told a news conference today that it was “plain to be seen” that Simon had not provided them with as much support as he could have.
“He didn’t really know what to do with us as a band.
“He was completely lost. It was a relief to him that we decided to choose our own songs.”
But she added: “Obviously, we’re a bit upset, but we felt it was our week to go.
“We’ve been in the bottom two for the past few weeks and we weren’t getting a huge amount of support from our mentor.”
If I were in the girls place I would be very careful. Simon Cowell is a bad enemy to make if you want to succeed in the music business!

Louis Walsh is hailing fellow judge Simon Cowell as his saviour, due to Simons decision to let the Conway Sisters go on saturday night.
Had Simon remained loyal to his act and voted for Chico to leave the show, Louis would have been left to decide on which of the two acts should leave. Considering the criticism Louis has received before when making this decision, its no wonder that Louis didn’t want to be put in this position once more.

Tonights episode of I’m A Celebrity will show Aussie soap star Kimberely Davies being rushed to hospital after a bushtucker trial went wrong!
The trial named Hell-O-Drop involved Kimberley leaping out of a helicopter to win food for her fellow jungle contestants. She completed her first jump successfully, but ran into trouble the second time round. She hit the water below at a very akward angle and managed to crack one of her ribs.
A spokesman for the show said: “Kimberley had been given a full safety briefing beforehand when she was told that she must keep her arms down at her sides and her legs straight when entering the water. She successfully completed the first of her two jumps landing on a section of the target which was worth two stars.
“But on the second jump, when she brought her right hand up to her face to hold her nose, her elbow was at an angle as she entered the water.
“The helicopter contractor has undertaken somewhere in the region of 3,000 such jumps without prior incident and have Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approval.”
It is not yet clear whether Kimberley will be returning to the Jungle to recuperate, or whether she will follow in Elaine Lordan’s footsteps and leave the show.

For once I have to agree with Eamon Holmes who has pointed out that the reason the X Factor contestants never make it is because the show isn’t actually about them, but all about the judges.
Just look at Louis’ antics this week! Nicholas Dorsett got hardly any press coverage upon exiting the show, all we heard were stories of Louis’ shock exit and then Mr Walsh’s incredibly unshocking return!

Polly Hudson is one witty chick! I have loved some of her X Factor articles in the past and her sum up of this years I’m A Celebrity contestants doesn’t disappoint!
I do think we should all join her campaign and pay the Austrailians to keep Bobby Ball, wouldn’t the UK be a better place without his annoyances! Imagine how much more he is going to be on TV if he comes back!

Sheree Murphy carried out the first live bushtucker trial of the series in which she had to endure maggots, eels, spiders and crocodiles in a bid to collect as many stars as possible.
Despite picking up five stars before giving up, Sheree felt she had let down the rest of the contestants and her family by not being stronger during the challenge.
After the challenge Sheree almost collapsed and needed first aid treatment as well as 90 minutes of trauma counselling. She cried: “I’m so upset. My husband and my mum and my kids - they’ll probably say come home. But I’m not going to.”
She added: “It made a difference that it was live, knowing that people at home were watching you. I know he would have been willing me on but it’s upsetting.
“I was so cold as well. I know it’s not enough food to go around but they can’t blame me for not trying.
“I’m going to have nightmares now.”
Speaking about the trial, she said: “It was just disgusting I wouldn’t want to do it again. My whole body was shaking. I was petrified. I knew it was going to be bad. You know nothing is going to be poisonous but I was frightened these things were going to bite. It was humiliating and I felt stupid.”
Now I don’t mean to be cruel. Obviously Sheree was terrified by her experience, but if she has phobias of heights, insects, snakes and rats why on earth did she agree to take part in this show where all of the above are par for the course? The mind boggles!

It was the eviction all the jungle dwellers dreaded. No one wanted to be first out, no one wanted to be that unpopular. But tonight the nicer half of the comedy duo Cannon and Ball left the jungle.
Tommy Cannon arrived in camp just 4 days ago and unlike his partner Bobby Ball managed to fit in very well. While Bobby irritated just about everybody, Tommy chipped in with the jobs and chores and made friends with the other contestants.
He also managed with Bobby to complete a bushtucker trial achieving nine stars, the most gained in this series so far. But all that wasn’t enough to gain the public’s support, it seems nice guys don’t win.
Had the voting process been different and people were asked to vote contestants out Tommy could have made the finals as it is hard to see anybody actively disliking him. But people were voting for who they wanted to remain and he obviously wasn’t charasmatic enough to inspire people either way.
To date Tommy has been Bobby’s support in camp. He led him through the trial, helped him with tasks and acted as emotional back up to his friend. So how will Bobby cope alone? Time will tell so watch this space!

Why Shayne? Why choose a song by The Darkness?
Don’t get me wrong, you sang it well. Note perfect, all the falsetto squeals in all the right places. But did you perform it? No. You dandered around the stage like you were out for a stroll. Slapped hands with the audience a bit, ambled about the stage a bit more.
Now I’m not a great singer (but those who can’t do, criticise), but when I hear the crunch of that first power chord in I Believe In A Thing Called Love, I want to leap around like a maniac from start to finish. Then I put the song back to the start and do it all over again.
The Darkness are a distinctive band. Look at Justin Hawkins, for God’s sake. Two words, Shayne: STAGE PRESENCE.
The singing was great. Unfortunately I had my eyes open. If I’d been watching that performance with the sound switched off, I’d never in a million years have guessed Shayne was singing a rock song.
And the judges. Don’t mislead the fella. He’ll sell records on his looks and possibly his vocals. It won’t be Shayne’s captivating performances or his magnetic personality. It’s a foregone conclusion that Shayne Ward will have a record deal after X Factor, but he’s got a lot to learn about star quality. In my opinion.

Well, tonight was the night the inevitable happened. The Chipmunks Conway Sisters got axed from tonight’s X Factor.
This wasn’t totally unexpected. Fans have been baying for their blood since the Maria Lawson scandal a couple of weeks ago. The girls were never going to win the X Factor competition. They chose safe and unimpressive songs, didn’t display much by way of personality, and worst of all sounded like they were on helium some of the time.
I’m not knocking the girls. I’m not knocking Irish acts (although I gave Phillip McGee a bit of a beating, too). I actually felt a bit sad for them and their father as I watched the playback of their X Factor ‘best bits’.
But the fact remains, like Nicholas Dorsett last week, they weren’t improving. They weren’t raising their game to win. Look at how much Journey South have improved in the last few weeks. That’s the winning attitude. Those guys went from being middle-of-the-road to being in our Top 2 acts two weeks running.
Anyway, on a final note, I’m pleased that Simon Cowell - as always - was frank and honest with his act and didn’t put the Conways through at Chico’s expense. Will Chico win? I don’t know, stranger things have happened.

In the VT which was played before the Conway Sisters came on stage Simon said that he wasn’t sure whether they would appear on the show last week, and that he half expected them to fly home to Dublin.
It may therefore come as a shock to Simon to find out that the girls are actually from Sligo, and that Dublin is not the only town in Ireland.
First he didn’t know 4Tune’s names and now he doesn’t know where The Conways are from. It makes you wonder how much Simon actually has to do with his acts at all.

Tonights show was a real mixed bag. There are a few acts that blew my socks off and a few that in my opnion don’t deserve to be there. Lets go
- Brenda Edwards: Excellent performance once again. I thought Sharon had made a huge mistake in giving Brenda this song as it will always be remembered as a Whitney Classic, but tonight while listening to Brenda sing “I Will Always Love You” I didn’t think of Whitney once. Simon thinks that it was Brendas best performance so far and also thinks that she will be one of the two acts in this years X Factor final. Lets hope so, she is consistent in her brilliance week after week, she deserves to win this!
- Journey South:: The boys sang “Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” a U2 classic, yet they added a few twists and deviations and made it their own. By doing this they ensure that they aren’t just seen as a pub rock band but as a credible act who add their own personality to any track and sell it as their own.Sharon Louois and Simon all sang the boy’s praises, with no criticisms to be heard at all!
- Andy Abraham: No one could help but feel sorry for Andy tonight as he messed up the start of his song. Andy sang “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston and has felt nervous about singing the track all week. The nerves obviously got the better of him tonight, but what i admired was the way he pulled it around. The first verse was a bit weak and he fluffed the lyrics a few times, but as the song went on he grew in confidence and by the end the old Andy magic was back. Simon thought it wasn’t his best performance, on the other side of the coin Louis was a bit gushing with his praise. Simon was right, it wasn’t Andy’s strongest hour, but talent like Andy’s will always shine through and it certainly did tonight.
- Shayne Ward: Shayne took a gamble tonight by singing The Darkness track “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” but it definately suited his voice. Vocally Shayne was magnificent, he was note perfect and his vocal range was incredibly impressive. However, he seemed to lack the energy and passion that a song like this requires. There was very little life about his performance, very little movement on stage. If he was going to take on a song like this he should have been bouncing about playing air guitar instead of trying to woo girls in the front row. If we could have combined the Conways energy with Shaynes vocals it would have made for an almost perfect performance.
- The Conway Sisters: Simon said their performance wasn’t good enough to get them through to next week. He said he believed they would be out-sung and I believe that happened tonight. The girl’s performance of “Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now” was good, a bit weak vocally at certain points and the tuning was slightly off at times. They had loads of energy and emotion though and certainly looked like they meant every word they sang. It wasn’t a bad performance, but it wasn’t a great one. I felt it was instantly forgettable.
- Chico Slimani:His version of “Billie Jean” was entertaining but not impressive. He used a kid in his performance for the third week runnning, and I am beginning to think that people are voting for the kids and not him. The little boy was certainly talented and very very cute, but it wasn’t enough to make Chico’s performance good enough for him still to be in this show.
I think this week it is time to say goodbye to Chico or The Comway Sisters.

Journey South: Still Haven’t Found What I’m looking For by U2
Chico Slimani: Billie Jean by Michael Jackson
Shayne Ward: I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness
Brenda Edwards: I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston
The Conway Sisters: Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship
Andy Abraham: I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston
All classic songs, all safe choices. With the exception of Andy. I think he is very brave to take on a Whitney song, especially as he has had to attend the doctor about problems with his voice this week.

Shock, horror, Louis has agreed to rejoin the X factor troups, but apparently only on the condition Simon Cowell releases him from his contract that states he must take part in 3 series of the show.
A TV source said: “Louis’s decision to walk out threw everyone into a state of panic and the show’s bosses were holding crisis talks to work out ways to persuade him to return.
“Both Louis and Sharon Osbourne have contractual agreements to appear in next year’s series, if there is one, but Simon agreed to release him.
“Simon begged Louis not to quit because he didn’t want it to have a negative impact on the show.
“It has also been pointed out to Louis that he would be in breach of contract if he just doesn’t bother to turn up.”
Sinitta, one of the experts working alongside Cowell, said: “I haven’t spoken to Louis. I don’t think he’s talking to anyone at the moment.
“Simon is shocked Louis got so upset. We know he was irritated and wanted to take some time out, but we’re genuinely shocked he would go this far. Louis has a great sense of humour but he’s sensitive.
“He hasn’t been himself since the Maria/Conways situation. He was genuinely torn and people are coming up to him in the street and saying he’s out of order. But it’s a show and he’s entitled to his opinion.”
She added: “Simon respects Louis more than any other manager in the country. He’s steered Westlife to meteoric heights. Louis is one of Simon’s closest friends - that’s why he works with him in the show - but when you’re competing in that environment things kick off.
“Louis is needing to take some time out at the moment. Simon doesn’t want Louis to be hurt. I think he does realise that Louis is very sensitive. I’m sure Simon will be contacting him and saying, ‘I’m sorry, if I’ve gone too far’. It’s just his sense of humour and Louis has had enough.”
Does anyone else smell something fishy? Could this possibly be a ploy to boost ratings, could it be at all related to the fact that rival show Strictly Come Dancing have beat the X Factor viewing figures over the last three weeks? Or is Louis Walsh really that thin skinned?
