Celebrity Big Brother starts in less than a week, and Channel Four are still keeping all the details under wraps!

There are plenty of rumours about the possible contestants, but all we know for sure is that it starts on the 5th of January and will last for 16 days.

New rumours in webland now include last years winner Bez from the Happy Mondays joining the line up and presenter Davina McCall entering as a housemate. Only time will tell!

X Factor winner Shayne Ward has spoken out for the first time about his Father who is currently serving a prison sentence for the rape of a pensioner.

He said: “My dad is in prison but I still love him dearly. He sent me a really nice message saying good luck and that he was proud of me”"

He added: “I don’t know if I’ll visit him or not but I’ll see how it goes and how I feel. I’ve spoken to my mum and she’s fine with it.

“I knew stuff about my past would come out as soon as I got through the auditions.

“Having it hanging over me was almost the worst thing — when everything came out it was a relief, really.�

2005 really has been Sharon Osbournes year.

Not only did she receive the award for Most Popular Expert on this years national Television Awards but she has now also picked up the award for the best hairstyle of 2005.

She was up against style gurus like Sienna Miller and Kate Moss, but nonetheless Sharon seems to have stolen the British public’s heart.

“The survey shows many of us take style inspiration from Sharon Osbourne’s new look,” said a spokesman for Yahoo!, which interviewed 3,000 people in the survey.

“But it may not suit everyone - we recommend testing celebrity hairstyles before you go for the chop.”

Louis Walsh has threatened to quit the X Factor AGAIN!

His move has allegedly came after it was revealed that Sharon Osbourne receives £250,000 per series, and Simon Cowell gets a huge £400,000, plus his fees for actually coming up with the concept of the show, and producing it.

Louis has demanded that The X Factor bosses double his wage to match Sharon’s or he will not return for the next series.

Go on producers, call his bluff and let him walk!

It has been rumoured that Simon Cowell has made an offer to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham to replace Louis Walsh as a judge on next years series of the X factor.

I know that all you X Factor fans and fanatics will be glad to hear that Victoria has turned down Simon’s offer and is definately not interested in the role.

She told The Sun: “Who am I to break someone’s dreams? It takes a certain type of person to do that - and that’s not me. I can’t be nasty to person’s face, I just couldn’t do it.”

I have to say I am extremely relieved by this developement. After all there is only room for one Diva on the judges platform and Sharon Osbourne is the original and the best!

Only 8 days to go and information on this years Celebrity Big Brother is thin on the ground. So far there are a few hot favourites for contestants, the favourites so far are,

Aussie actor Daniel MacPherson known as Joel from Neighbours, Daniel has also appeared in The Bill as well as recently hosting the Aussie version of ‘X Factor.’

US beauty Anna Nicole Smith is also rumoured to be going into the house, fresh from her legal battle with her late husband’s children!

Boy George along with Jimmy Tarbuck and Johnny Vegas also join the well-known rumoured housemates.

Singer Myleene Klass, TV host Esther Rantzen, Most Haunted’s Derek Acorah and diet doctor Gillian McKeith are also rumoured to have signed up, and long shots include Little Britains Matt Lucas and David Walliams.

BBLB is expected to take up residence in a new morning slot when the celebrity version of Big Brother retunrs in January.

The move coincides with Dermot O’Leary’s appointment as host of a new Channel 4 breakfast show, Morning Glory.

BBLB, likely to air at 8am, will be renamed Celebrity Big Brother’s Little Breakfast to accompany the switch.

The new breakfast slot could become the permanent home for the show when the main series returns next summer: its existing teatime slot is now filled by a successful block of shows including Deal or No Deal and Richard & Judy.

Andrew Lloyd webber will be using a reality TV show to find the star of his all new production of The Sound Of Music.

He intends to make it more serious than the X factor though, and said : “I won’t be doing a Simon Cowell. I don’t intend to break people’s dreams. This will be a serious contest.”

According to The Sun Michael Jackson has agreed to take part in a US reality TV show involving his family.

The 46-year-old singer is to appear in the pilot and make guest appearances during the series.

Cameras will follow his brother Tito’s three sons as they try to break into the music industry again following their short-lived stint as 90s boy band 3T.

Sister and brother LaToya and Jermaine will also star in the show - due to be aired in the US in the spring. Earlier this year, Jacko was cleared of child molestation charges which emerged after he appeared in TV documentary Living With Michael Jackson.

It would seem that the Mc Fly boys have a problem with Shayne Ward and the rest of the X Factor contestants.

Lead singer Danny ranted: “I f****** hate X Factor, I think they’re all w******.

“I like the beginning part when all those awful people are auditioning, but then it gets crap.”

Drummer Harry added: “After four years watching these reality TV shows, you’d think these people would realise they’ll never shed the reality TV tag.

“It’s not that hard to get up and sing a song. If it was about talent they’d make people come in and write music and then perform it.”

Will Mellor has offered some words of advice to X Factor winner Shayne Ward, to help him remain at the top of the charts.

Former Hollyoaks actor and winner of Celebrity Fame Academy 2003 spoke to the Manchester Evening news saying:

“He’s a great kid and deserved to win the show,” he tells me.

“But he could sing anything and make the Christmas number one - ‘That’s My Goal’ is a typical X Factor song.

“I hope they give him better material in the future and let him write decent stuff as we don’t want him to become another cheesy artist.

“Shayne needs to be given something different to sing, not just pop music - there’s no longevity in that. He’s got a great marketable face and I think he’ll do well but the key to whether he’ll be around for a long time is whether he’s given decent material to record.

“Hopefully he’ll be given a chance to express what he’s good at or else he might be written off after three songs.

“Just look at what happened to Steve Brookstein who won the last X Factor show.”

Will definately has a point but I’m not sure that Shayne would be willing to take advice for someone who failed so miserably in his attempt at a pop career earlier this decade.

Santa certainly brought Shayne Ward what he wanted this christmas, a record breaking single that made it to Christmas number one.

Before the track even reached the number one spot, it was already being hailed as the fastest selling single of the year and the most downloaded UK track EVER! All this in just 4 days, as Shaynes single was released 2 days later than the other contenders for the spot.

Shayne, 21, said: “I am so thrilled to top the charts at Christmas. Thank you to everyone who bought That’s My Goal and all the thousands of people who voted for me on The X Factor.”

Shayne, who is celebrating Christmas with his family in Manchester, added: “You have made my dream come true - I am still in shock. I am completely overwhelmed.”

Gennaro Castaldo, of HMW, said: “That’s My Goal is the fastestselling Christmas number one in recorded chart history. It has flown off the shelves this week.”

There may be more to come for the X Factor winner as his single is already the third biggest-selling ever. Top is Sir Elton John’s 1997 reworking of Candle in the Wind - the tribute to Princess Diana which he sang at her funeral in August 1997. It sold more than 600,000 on its first day, and 4.8million overall in Britain.

Second is Pop Idol winner Will Young’s Evergreen. The February 2002 offering sold 1.1million copies in its first week - 403,027 on its first day.

Another few weeks of these sorts of sales figures and Shayne may just make his way to the top of the pile!

After receiving hundreds of complaints regarding the content of the latest series of Big Brother, Ofcom have watched the show and reported back on its findings this week.

Channel Four was rebuked for operating “at the limits of acceptability” over an incident in which Big Brother contestants Makosi and Anthony appeared to have sex in the pool.

Ofcom also criticised Channel Four for screening an incident in which housemate Kinga simulated sex with a wine bottle. Ofcom received over 200 complaints about this incident alone.

The Belfast Telegraph reports that Channel Four admitted the incident was “a shocking one”, but it said it had an obligation to show the scenes to give viewers a true picture of events in the house. It said the images, which went out after the watershed and following warnings to viewers, were edited so only a minimum amount of footage went in the programme.

Ofcom said Kinga’s drunken antics “did amount to potentially dangerous behaviour”, but it said it was unlikely to have encouraged copycat behaviour from viewers.

The message was that this was “not behaviour to be condoned or encouraged” because Kinga regretted her actions and the housemates were not impressed.

It said the episode was not in breach of the broadcasting code, but added: “This programme, in our view, along with the (scenes of) Anthony and Makosi in the pool, operated at the limits of acceptability, in terms of potential harm and/or offence for a programme of this nature, broadcast on this channel and at this time.”

Big Brother presenter Davina McCall was cleared of racial discrimination over what some viewers complained was a hostile interview with Zimbabwean contestant Makosi.

Ofcom also cleared the programme-makers of introducing racist elements to boost ratings in the reality show, where contestants appeared to split into two groups along racial lines.

It has only been available for four days but already Shayne Ward’s X Factor single ‘That’s My Goal’ has become the most-downloaded song in UK history.

Fans of the X Factor and the sexy Shayne have downloaded the track an amazing 46,000 times. This has not only secured Shayne a spot in The Guiness Book Of Records, but also almost guarentees him the christmas number one spot.

The single also became the fastest selling UK song of 2005, a mere 24 hours after it hit the shop shelves yesterday morning. It has already sold more than 100,000 copies, beating the years previously fastest selling record Live 8.

In a statement today Shayne said “I’m only 21 and I’m in the Guinness Book of Records. How amazing is that?”
