Celebrity X Factor C ontestants Will Be VERY Well Paid!

Celebrities taking part in this years Celebrity X Factor will receive a handsome fee of £25,000 for taking part and an extra £5000 each night they survive the public vote. This means that the winner could be walking away with a grand total of £75,00!

However this is a pittance compared to the £250,000 that Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell will be receiving.

An insider told the Mirror: “There’s a very attractive incentive to do well.

“It’s not a bad pay check for just a few days of work – and for those who want to launch a pop career, it’s the perfect platform.

Big Brother Contestant Swap!

Big Brother 3, winner Cameron Stout swapped places with a housemate from Africa, Big Brother 5 winner Nadia dropped in on the Austarilian Big Brother house and just a few days after winning Celebrity Big Brother 2006, Chantelle Houghton made an appearance in the German Big Brother house.

It seems that the Big Brother swap is about to occur again during this summers UK Big Brother 2006.

The Sun reports
“ONE lucky Big Brother housemate may get more than they bargained for this year . . . a 10,000 mile trip to Australia.

Our spies reckon one of the Oz contestants will be involved in an international swap — and the UK is hot favourite to take part.”

A Big Brother source stated

“We’ve known for a while there will be some kind of trick where an Aussie swaps places with a Big Brother housemate from somewhere else in the world.

“BB bosses have been in contact with other countries about this — but the hot favourite is the UK.

“They speak the same language, and have lots in common, so it’s the one that would work best.

“It’ll come as a shock to whoever goes — flying round the world after being cooped up for weeks.

Aravon Makes It Through To The Next Round Of Strictly Dance Fever

Ulster’s telly dancers have been voted back into the BBC’s Strictly Dance Fever mansion for another week.

In the latest round, competitors danced the tango and the hustle in a bid to impress judges Arlene Phillips, Ben Richards, Wayne Sleep and Stacey Haynes.
Fermanagh woman Aravon McCann, 38, survived along with dance partner Paul Culshaw despite scoring only 18 out of a possible 40 points.

A visit from Aravon’s children, Aishling and Aoife, and her husband, Michael, helped stave off homesickness and give the Maguiresbridge dog-groomer a real boost.

Aravon, who won the Novice Crystal Line Dancing title in 2001, and Paul bounced back on Saturday night despite suffering an embarrassing mishap when their microphones became entangled.

But determined not to let it put them off, they stepped into their disco routine.

Arlene Phillips said their performance was “thrashy and dashy” – as disco should be, but gave it the thumbs down, saying it wasn’t very good. However, Ben Richards said that while things can go wrong, the pair had held it together and he praised their “good team work”.

Tyrone man Mark Williamson was also voted back to dance another day with partner Jennifer Mistri. The dance student from Fivemiletown lives and studies in Belfast, and best likes dancing ballet, hip-hop and cha-cha.

He and Jennifer scored 25 points out of 40, but Wayne Sleep said Mark was lagging behind and looked as if he couldn’t remember his steps.

To keep both couples in the show, phone 0901 121 24 02 to vote for Mark and Jennifer or 0901 121 24 04 for Paul and Aravon.

Shayne Ward Signs Fran Cosgrove As His Minder

There is a bizarre rumour circulating in web land that X Factor 2006 winner Shayne Ward has recently signed Celebrity Love Island star Fran Cosgrove as his new minder.

The former Westlife minder has not yet commented on the rumour, but it would seem to be a step backwards in his career after his rise to fame in last years reality Tv summer hit!

Shayne Ward Reaches The Top Of The UK Album Charts!

Despite only coming in at number two in last weeks single charts with his second single ‘No Promises’, X Factor winner Shayne Ward has seen his debut album enter the UK album charts this week in the number one position.

He said: “I’m so thrilled to have reached number one with my debut album.

“I’d like to thank all the fans for supporting me - you have been incredible and without you all, I wouldn’t be here today.

“It’s been an unbelievable six months and I still can’t believe that this is real.

“I’m going to have a quiet celebratory drink tonight and then its back to work early tomorrow.”

Steve Brookstein Is Not A Shayne Ward Fan

The winner of The X Factor 2005, Steve Brookstein has commented this week that he is not a big fan of Shayne Wards music.

He seems like a nice guy and he works hard,” Steve explained. “I’m not a fan of the music - but then again, Shayne’s only young so he doesn’t know what he wants, so he’s just going along with the ride.

“Sooner or later he might develop into a serious artist, but right now he’s just pop.”

Brookstein also criticised The X Factor once again, claiming that the public are throwing away their cash by voting for the show.

“It’s a shame people vote so much and waste their money,” he said. “It’s all kind of a… bit of a scam.”

That shade of green just doesn’t suit you Steve!

Arlene Phillips Slates Strictly Dance Fever Wannabes

In an interview yesterday Strictly Dance Fever judge Arlene Phillips slated some of the wannabes that auditioned for this series of the competition.

She said “There’s nothing bad about doing the show… except some of the sights we see.

“I can’t tell you the number of people who really feel the show is their only chance to be a dancer and yet who are so far away from being one.

“I wonder how they can be so blind. What do they think they are actually watching when they see dancers on stage or on TV?

“What’s really remarkable is the number of people who put music on and then dance to something completely different.

“It bears no relation to the music they are playing. They could have a dentist / drill going on there. It doesn’t add up.

“And if I see one more girl wearing baggy khaki trousers with blonde streaks in her hair who claims to be a ’street dancer’ I’ll scream. I don’t try to be nasty but when you’ve been working since 7am by the time you’ve seen the 67th person you tell the truth.”

Big Brothers Michelle Bass and Science, What They’re Doing Now

I bet you hoped you’d seen the last of them, but at Kingas 21st Birthday party last night many of the Big Brother contestants were keen to spill all on how their careers are progressing.

“I’m trying to concentrate on my acting. I’m filming a sci-fi flick this summer called Mind Flesh. I play a goddess whose flesh is hanging off. I’m the only name in it but it’s a start.”

She continued: “I would so love to do what Billie Piper is doing though. I’d like to play that role. I loved Doctor Who when it was Christopher Eccleston but I really like the new actor.”

She added: “That’s something to aim for.”

While Science revealed

“I’ve got a song coming out in August called Power To The People by me, Citizen Science,” he revealed.

“After that I’m doing a house album called Expect The Unexpected because no one expects Science to do a house record.”

He continued: “I’ve also written a track that would be perfect for Madonna. I think what she’s done with her dance stuff is amazing. I’d love to go on tour with her.”

And Madge isn’t the only one that Science wants to work with

He said: “I’ve also got a track I’ve done with Coldplay in mind. I’m going to send it to them.”

I bet Coldplay and Madonna are really excited by the prospect!
