I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! David Gest Leaves The Jungle!

David Gest: I'm A CelebrityWhen David Gest started his I’m A Celebrity journey, most of us thought he would be lucky to last a week in the jungle. No maids, no cook and no bathroom…how would he survive?

But David proved us all wrong. Not only did he survive, but he thrived and ended up being the bookies favourite to win the show.

Unfortunately though, the bookies don’t always get it right and tonight David Gest was the ninth person to be evicted from I’m A Celebrity.

That leaves Myleene Klass, Jason Donovan and Matt Willis in the final three. king or Queen of the jungle will be crowned tomorrow night….who do you think will win?

I’m A Celebrity: Dean Gaffney Leaves Jungle Camp

Dean Gaffney - I'm A CelebrityThe final draws near and Dean Gaffney became the eighth person to be evicted from I’m A Celebrity tonight.

The final 3 contestants will be revealed later this evening as one more person faces eviction.

Bookies are tipping Myleene Klass, David Gest and Jason Donovan for the final three which would mean Matt Willis leaving later this evening.

All will be revealed at 10pm tonight!

I’m A Celebrity: Mat Willis Does Beatles Challenge!

Matt Willis: I'm A CelebrityMatt was on song when he passed a secret mission after dinner to win booze for the camp.

He was tasked by TV producers to slip five Beatles’ song titles into general conversation but the job was made doubly difficult – it had to happen before sleepy head David hit the hay.

He managed to shoehorn into his conversation:

All You Need is Love

Here Comes The Sun

I Wanna Hold Your Hand

Magical Mystery Tour

I’m A Celebrity: David Gest Buys Some Emus

Dean Gaffney - I'm A CelebrityDean and David were selected to go and collect the celebrity chest and when they reached a clearing full of pecking emus, Dean began to panic, much to David’s chagrin.

Their task was to dress in a giant yellow emu costume and work together to collect emu eggs, scattered around the clearing, with the added risk of live emus being around to guard the eggs.

While David was up front, Dean brought up the rear and began to yelp and flinch as an emu walked towards him.

Clearly losing his patience with his cowardly colleague, David told Dean: “Shut up.

When the emus pecked, David pecked back: “Yeah, you want talk? You want to dance? You wanna boogie?

While David did all the work, Dean may as well have been sat back in camp for the all the use he was, as he just flinched at regular intervals.

Getting the last egg collected, David gave a rendition of the Jason Donovan song ‘Sealed With A Kiss’ followed by the anthem from I’m A Celebrity Series 6, the rap that he wrote with Toby.

Before heading back to camp, David made a rash decision and as he later explained: “I’ve always wanted emus. I bought two today and paid $1,500 for each one. It really made my day. I can always keep them at Michael Jackson’s house at Neverland. He would love them.

I’m A Celebrity: David Gest Does The Dishes…….FINALLY

David Gest: I'm A CelebrityToday’s Bushtucker trial required three people to participate so Myleene, Jason and Matt headed off to win some food.

Before leaving Myleene gave David and Dean lengthy instructions on what needed done around camp while they were gone. She told David how to wash dishes, how to boil drinking water and most of all how not to add washing up liquid to the drinking water.#

Seems easy doesn’t it….apparently not. As soon as the others had left, David decided it would be better to wash teh dishes with shampoo….AND CONDITIONER! David was pleased with his shiny soft dishes, so he took it one step further and used some body lotion to moisturise the cutlery.

David and Dean also managed to let the fire go out for the first time since the show began, but at least they didn’t burn the place down!

Big Brother for Three More Years!

Clear your summers for the next three years. This just in from the bbuk site:
Channel 4 has signed a new deal with Endemol, keeping the show on air until at least 2010. Channel 4 has apparently paid £180 million to keep the show for three more years. They sealed the rights to the show, expected to cost around £60 million for each series, after ITV expressed interest in buying the format. However, ITV decided not make an official bid for the show, leaving the price tag considerably lower than what it may have been. The deal also includes future series of Celebrity Big Brother. The current contract was due to run out after Big Brother 8, and many speculated that ITV would swoop in and snatch the format. Simon Shaps, ITV’s director of television, apparently spoke with Endemol about buying the show, but decided not to buy the format, allowing Channel 4 to sign a new deal for the show.

Big Brother has been very valuable for Channel 4, helping push up the channel’s share and attracting a large amount of 16-34s and is now considered Channel 4’s flagship show. Reports have suggested that losing Big Brother would have been a huge blow to Channel 4.

I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here! Jan Leeming Leaves the Jungle

Jan Leeming: I'm A CelebrityWith Malandra Burrows leaving last night and Jan Leeming tonight, we have five celebrities left in the jungle. The most popular David Gest, with everyone waiting on him hand and foot. The ever popular, nice but funny guy, Jason Donovan, the handy-man . The beautiful Myleene Klass, everyone’s pin up and really very nice person. The charming Matt Willis who gets on with everyone and is always smiling and lastly Dean Gaffney who has tackled his trials, in sheer audible panic but always returned to camp with a good number of meals.

David and Jan have kept the camp both entertained and irritated with their swinging friendship and enmity. David has been upsetting Jan with his unwillingness to pull his weight, being spoilt by all and unappreciation of her cooking. But they have enjoyed the banter over tooth brushing (David telling Jan that he has some one to brush his teeth for him back home), David encouraging her singing, posing for Play Boy Centre fold and anything else he feels the ‘gulible’ Jan will believe. His never ending amusing games have kept both the viewer and camper, highly entertained. Now the couple have split forever, as Jan has said that in spite of his dinner invitation, she would not be going out with him because he had become boring. ( Anyone agree???). Will she still get the promised diamond-stoned cross?

After Dean’s homecoming with five of the six stars, having braved, with screams of terror, a completely dark cave filled with cockroaches, biting ants, spiders and frogs and a strawberry cream cake that was blown up because the third key for the padlocks was not found within the ten allotted minutes, Jan waved goodbye to her fellow campers to head for the luxury six star hotel, friends and hopefully, family. We will miss her (not her whinging) with the cheeky smile, working around the camp fire and spirited discussions with David. Her final night was spent watching a furious storm, lightning and thunder, sharing dreams (David’s was the best with his shooting of all the staff and walking out with Myleene), sad good bye’s and final interview with Ant and Dec. Who will be the next to go???

Strictly Come Dancing, Take Two: 28th October, 06

Hosted by Claudia Winkelman.

Twelve weeks and with 2,181 hours of dancing has been put in by the contestants. We have the bookies favourites as follows:

Mark Rampramkash and Karen Hardy are the bookies No. 1 at 11 to 10 and will be dancing the Foxtrot and Samba on Saturday. Two extreme dances as one will be floating, sophisticated, suave and elegant with the Samba being the complete opposite. A charismatic couple who have put in the most hours of practice, 268 hours to date.

The bookies next favourite, lying second, is Louisa Lytton and Vincent Simone

At 2 to 1 with 159 hours of practice, the lowest, due to two weeks of unavoidable absence from rehearsals. Everyone was so impressed with their brilliant Paso Doble, last week, professionals included, saying they were underscored and should have received tens across the board. It was amazing. This week they will be dancing the Cha Cha and Waltz. Once again, two extreme dances. Louisa has been very excited about dancing the Waltz.

Matt Dawson and Lilia Kopylova have put in 233 hours and the bookies have given them a 13 to 2 chance of winning. They will be dancing the Quickstep and Rumba. Matt has improved tremendously over the last few weeks and earned the highest score for their waltz last Saturday. For the Rumba they will have to use shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands, well and not forget raunchy hips. Last week they received the highest score of the series, 37 out of 40

Emma Bunton and Darren Bennett with 191 hours of training in twelve weeks will be dancing the Viennese Waltz and Paso Doble. They are feeling more confident but dread being placed in the bottom two again. 5 to 1 by bookies. They stunned us with their British Waltz last week. Emma is fast catching up on the practice she missed when helping to raise funds for Children in Need, recently.

Carol Smillie and Matt Cutler have put in 204 hours of training. 12 to 1 by the bookies who have predicted that they will be the couple to leave on Saturday. It all depends on their performance, as they dance the Viennese Waltz and Samba. Carol is a beautiful dancer when she concentrates although the judges feel she needs to dance with her heart more than her head.

At the end of each day the dancers go home from rehearsals exhausted, yawning with some napping on the floor, beforehand. So many hours of extensive training before each Saturday’s show. The competition is getting tougher as the gap closes between the couples and anyone could go on Saturday. We have three and a half weeks left to find a winner.

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! Jan Leeming Leaves The Jungle!

Jan Leeming: I'm A CelebrityJan Leeming has just become the 7th person to leave the I’m A Celebrity camp.

Jan found herself, fifteen minutes ago, in the bottom two along with Busted star Matt Willis. Ant and Dec reported a huge surge of votes once the bottom two were announced, which I imagine were all the teenage girls voting to keep Matt in.

When the final decision was announced, Jan looked pleased to be going. I think she has had enough of David Gest and his demanding ways if nothing else.

Look out Playboy
…..here comes Jan!

Ben Way, The Secret Millionaire: Channel 4

I just watched the Secret Millionaire on Channel 4 and was a bit baffled by the outcome.

I thought the show had a great idea behind it, and it is nice to see a reality show where someone, other than a celebrity, actually benefits.

I watched avidly, wondering who Ben Way, the twentysomething millionaire entrepreneur, would award his cash to. Would it former boxing champion James Cook, dedicated to keeping kids away from drugs? Or perhaps Wayne, a student with aspirations to sell his range of designer fashion? Or Ufu, the manager of the youth club who seemed to be running it on little more than his goodwill?

In the end Ben awarded cash to all three…a nice gesture, I’m sure all three appreciated it greatly. But didn’t it defeat the purpose of the show? I wonder if all the shows will follow this format? If so it kind of takes away the element of surprise doesn’t it?
