Celebrity Big Brother: Jade Goody Arrives In India

Jade Goody has flown out to India in a bid to save her reputation after the Big Brother racism scandal.

She arrived in New Delhi today with her agent Sally Andrews and UK talent scout Jazz Barton who said: “We’re very happy with the reception we’ve received. We were given a warm welcome at the airport and we look forward to travelling in India.”

I wish Jade the best of luck and hope that she returns home in a better and calmer state of mind than she has been in recent weeks and months.

Dancing On Ice: Lee Sharpe Thinks Girls Have It Easy

Dancing On Ice

Lee Sharpe has admitted that he thinks a man should win Dancing On Ice this year as they have a much tougher job than the girls.

He told the Daily Star Sunday, “It is easier for the girls. They just have to concentrate on looking nice and smiling in front of the cameras. They only have to be lifted up by their partners.

“Because they are mostly singers and actresses they are used to acting up in front of the cameras, which helps.”

I would be inclined to agree with Lee and in fact I started a thread over on our forum saying this exact thing. When the required element last week involved skaters skating independently of their partners, most of the girls struggled, while the men excelled. I think Lee has made an excellent point, but I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes when he meets up with the girls later this week.

With such an important challenge ahead of them, the designers are lucky enough to get some inside tips from a successful red carpet dress designer, and designer to Myleene- Kyri, but they are up against the clock to decide on the colour combinations and order the sumptuous silk fabrics to complete their designs.

With the pressure mounting the designers struggle to stay on schedule: Wayne hates his dress, Monika’s drab colour selection causes concern with Ben and it’s no surprise that Luke has set himself a rather challenging task. Confessions Of A Hoarder

One in 200 people in the UK is a hoarder: someone who can’t stop collecting things, but can’t bear to throw them out either. Confessions of a Hoarder (working title) takes a closer look at the debilitating condition, which is on the rise.

Hoarding is a condition filled with shame and guilt, with many sufferers leading a life of such secrecy that even their closest friends might not know the truth. In some cases the condition can become extreme and out of control, affecting the hoarder’s daily life and their relationships with others. Most hoarders live claustrophobic, lonely existences, often in a vicious circle of deprived circumstances with the piles of rubbish preventing them from eating, sleeping and keeping themselves clean.

Confessions of a Hoarder (working title) finds sufferers from all walks of life: from the first man in Britain to receive an ASBO for hoarding: driven by an obsession with the Wombles, he can’t stop filling up his house with his neighbours’ rubbish; to the retired accountant forced to confront the problem when his wife stages an intervention.

Confessions Of A Hoarder will air on Channel 4 in March 2007.

Marco, described as the ‘Godfather of British cooking,’ will use his considerable talents to turn a group of celebrities into chefs in just two weeks.

And he is already promising to take no prisoners as he attempts to turn the famous trainees into fully fledged chefs.

Marco is sure to feel the heat as he steps back up to the serving plate and he could employ some of his old-school tactics to knock both the trainees and celebrity diners into shape. Jokes

Many of Vine’s jokes have been falsely attributed to Tommy Cooper[1]; the West End show about Tommy Cooper actually features some of Vine’s jokes.
Vine in the role of Tim in Not Going Out.

* So I was getting into my car, and this bloke says to me “Can you give me a lift?” I said, “Sure, you look great, the world’s your oyster, go for it.”
* So I rang up a local building firm and said, “I want a skip outside my house.” He said, “I’m not stopping you.”
* Now, most dentist’s chairs go up and down, don’t they? The one I was in went back and forwards. I thought, “This is unusual”. Then the dentist said to me, “Mr Vine, get out of the filing cabinet”.
* I went to the butchers the other day and I bet him fifty quid that he couldn’t reach the meat off the top shelf. And he said, “no, the steaks are too high”.
* I was reading this book, ‘The History of Glue’. I couldn’t put it down.
* I got a job as the Duke of Edinburgh’s hairdresser. The other day I parked outside Buckingham Palace and a policeman came up to me and said “have you got a permit?” And I said, “no, I’ve just got to take a bit off the back”.
* The other day someone left a piece of plasticine in my dressing room. I didn’t know what to make of it. Read more & comment »
