Eton Road…..Where Has That Record Deal Gone?

I came across this clip today on Youtube, and I must say the Eton Road boys still put on a good show. A few of their harmonies are a bit iffy, but who sings live these days anyway?

I couldn’t help wonder though, while watching them in this tiny restaurant, it was hardly the stadium tours that Louis Walsh as good as promised on last years X Factor show.

He was sure that Eton Road would be the next BIG thing, and even promised them a lucrative record deal……I haven’t heard their album yet, in fact there isn’t one. Could Louis have been talking S***E again?

Anyone who watched last years UK X Factor series will remember the talented Robert Allen.

Robert had a fantastic voice (at least 100 times better than Ray Quinn’s!), however it would seem that talent is not everything, and Robert fell way short of making it to the final of the show.

It’s a pity, as Leona Lewis, the winner, has landed a £1 million recording contract along with a promising US career. Robert on the other hand was last seen singing in a club in Magaluf….it could be worse I suppose. He could have ended up on the dole!
