X Factor 29th September LIVE ON FORUM!

If you are watching the X Factor show tonight on ITV and want to share your views or see what the rest of Britain is thinking, then be sure to jump over to our forum where we will be covering the show LIVE!

We’ll no doubt be chatting all week about our all time favourite show!

X Factor: Emily Nakanda Should Make It To The Finals

14 year old Emily Nakanda was the youngest girl to make it through to bootcamp and in my opinion she put some of the older singers to shame.

On tonight’s show we saw Emily sing Nina Simone’s Feeling Good for the Judges, she was fabulous and in my opinion deserves to make it through to the live X Factor shows.

However I wish that they would drop her story about nearly dying. It makes no difference to her singing ability, and if anything sob stories put me off possible winners.

UPDATE:
I just watched Emily on the second audition show….not so good. Can she cope with the pressure of the live shows at 14? Maybe I overestimated her confidence and ability…..

X Factor: Leon Jackson Wants To Win For His Mum

Tonight we see 19 year old Glaswegian Leon Jackson try to get through the X Factor bootcamp so that he can provide a better life for his mum.

Leon performed a distinctly mediocre audition piece, he failed to impress the judges in the slightest. But he managed to find his way through to the final twelve 14-24 year old males.

I am assuming that Leon made it through due to his looks and his story, because he was nowhere near the best singer in the group, or if he was, he definitely failed to sell himself well during the first stage of bootcamp.

So what’s the general opinion? Should a good sob story and pretty eyes be enough to get you through the X Factor? Let us know what you think, leave a comment below!

X Factor: Ryan Idzi Forgets His Words

Ryan Idzi, the man who has served six years in the army, made it through to X Factor bootcamp. I liked Ryan and concede that he has a good story, but to be honest he never had the calibre of voice that is needed to win the X Factor.

On tinight’s show we see Ryan tell Dermot “this is a life changing event for me, I want it so much.”

However, Ryan’s performance didn’t go as well as he hoped and nerves get the better of him when he forgot the words to his song.

Simon commented “Part of me thinks as a mentor I’d like to take him under my wing and teach him how to sing and perform.”

Correct me if I’m wrong but I didn’t think that was the idea behind this show.

Why We Will Always Watch Reality TV

The X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, Fame Academy, American Idol, I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here, Big Brother, Dancing On Ice, Hells Kitchen; if you haven’t heard of any of these programmes you must have been in a coma and have just come around, you’re a recluse and you live in a cave or you have been wading through a jungle in Vietnam, not yet realising that the war is over.

Reality television is at its peak at the moment and you either love it or you love it but pretend you hate it; locking yourself away on a Saturday night, in a basement somewhere, pretending to watch the Discovery Channel. So what is it that has our 21st Century Generation hooked on watching other people’s lives?

After the DIY and “Changing Rooms” generation in 2001, and after critically acclaimed success in the Netherlands, Big Brother made its way onto our television screens and took the UK by storm. Never before had we seen something so unique and yet revealing from a television show and, presented by Davina McCall, Big Brother became more than a television show on C4; it became an international phenomenon. But why?

People had become bored with the recycled jokes and the predictability of sitcoms and drama. The new reality TV shows were a blank canvas on to which a creative arena that played out in unpredictable ways was created. Reality TV shows appealed to people because of how easy it was for the audience to relate to the contestants as they were real people; not scripted characters. Read more & comment »

X Factor: Rhydian Roberts Causes A Stir!

X Factor hopeful Rhydian Roberts causes a stir in tonights X Factor bootcamp show. Rhydian shows up at bootcamp sure he will sail through Bootcamp. “I’ve trained as an opera singer for four years but when I’m on the operatic stage, I just don’t feel like I’m connecting with the masses.” I want to make it through to the final 12 because I know I can sell records. On stage I come alive.”

As Rhydian takes his place in front of the judges, he is asked to perform a song he would love to release as a single. Singing his own unique version of Delilah by Tom Jones, the judges are left divided. Sharon pulls no punches saying “I want to throw things at him, he’s revolting.” Simon concedes that Rhydian can sing but “he’s up his own arse and is the most conceited person I’ve ever met in my life.” Read more & comment »

Strictly Come Dancing Stars Think There Is A Kelly Brook Fix!

Strictly Come Dancing 2007: Kelly BrookStrictly Come Dancing competitors are said to be furious at what they believe is a BBC fix to make sure that Kelly Brook wins this years show.

Kelly has received the most publicity in the run up to the show’s launch and many people believe she will benefit from being paired with Brendan Cole who has previously won the show.

“Every time I open a paper she’s pictured in a skimpy outfit and there’s just a few lines about everyone else,” EastEnders star Matt Di Angelo complained. “Judging by the coverage she is getting, Kelly is going to win. Everything is always about her.”

A show insider told the Daily Star: “There’s a strong feeling that Strictly is being turned into The Kelly Show. People are already calling her ‘Special K’ behind her back. It’s nothing personal because she’s a lovely girl, but some people’s egos are getting severely bruised.” Read more & comment »

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne Form Suicide Pact

Sharon OsbourneX Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she and her rocker husband, Ozzy Osbourne have made a suicide pact with each other.

Sharon has informed her children and her lawyer that she does not want to suffer with a mentally debilitating disease like her father did, and after watching him fade since developing Alzheimers disease she is sure that she doesn’t want to end up in the same position.

“Ozzy and I have absolutely come to the same decision. We believe 100 per cent in euthanasia so have drawn up plans to go to the assisted suicide flat in Switzerland if we ever have an illness that affects our brains. If Ozzy or I ever got Alzheimer’s, that’s it – we’d be off,” Sharon told The Mirror. Read more & comment »

X Factor Judges Fight Over 14-24 Boys!

Simon Cowell - X FactorThe X Factor judges are all fighting to gain the mentoring role for the 14-24 year old boys group, as they all believe that the winner of this years show resides in this category.

After seeing a steady stream of good singers in the boys category, Simon remarks “I think the winner is here.” And so the competition between the judges starts to heat up and the fight for the boys begins.

Away from Simon and Dannii, Louis tells Sharon: “I can see at least four boys here that could be winners. Sharon, I hope you or I get that category.“ Dannii proclaims the boys category as “amazing” while Simon tells a friend over the phone, “I’ve just seen the winner of The X Factor – the other three (judges) have no idea.”

Louis Walsh Decides To Form New X Factor Groups

Louis Walsh X FactorAfter weeks of Simon Cowell being blamed on artificially forming X Factor groups out of solo contestants, it will emerge on tonights X Factor bootcamp show that Irish twerp Louis Walsh was actually behind the move.

Tonight we will see Louis saying:

“I think we’ve thrown away the seven or eight girls and boys that are very very good and I think we should give them a lifeline. I think we should give them a chance of putting a group together.

Simon is dismissive saying, “it won’t work. It’s impossible.” “You’re not physic,” challenges Louis. “If we give them a small chance it might work. If I was them I would love this opportunity.” But Simon is still not convinced. “It won’t work – I’m putting it on record now, it will not work. I want to see every ‘maybe’ I’m not putting any no’s in.” Read more & comment »
