I’m borrowing a link from Available For Panto today and pointing you to The Bitch Factor, another X Factor blog worth checking out.
Why? Because they have the best strapline ever: ITV1’s The X Factor, through the eyes of three cynical viewers. WHOSE PARENTS ARE DEAD.
I laughed my ass off at that slogan, and long-term X Factor addicts who deplore the recurring sob stories will appreciate the snarky dig at the contestants.
Anyway, I read a couple of their posts (especially the one about no dead parents), and their sense of bemusement at the car crash that is X Factor is obvious:
Here’s Paris, who auditioned last year with her pretty little operatic voice, but is now BACK BACK BACK to enter officially. She’s a Scouser. Is this Liverpool now? Dermot, now with his tie done up nicely, gives her a kiss. Sharon pretends she remembers her and this hasn’t been set up at all. She sings two lines of I Will Always Love You, with a bizarre glissando cadenza.
These guys call it as they see it. Great blog and I can’t wait to see what they have to say about tonight’s X Factor.

Reports have emerged that dancers and judges alike are shocked and disappointed by the fact that despite embarrassingly bad performances, GMTV presenter Kate Garraway has yet to be in the bottom two couples in the results show.
Judges, Arlene Phillips and Craig Revel Horwood are said toi be particularly angry at Kate’s persistance, Arlene told producers: “I can’t believe Kate Garraway is still on the show, she can’t dance.”
A source told The Sun: “All the celebrities and their partners are putting in hours of practice. It’s rather galling for them to work that hard and then see Kate sail through to the next round despite putting in an appalling performance. Things are starting to get catty.”

X Factor brother and sister act, Same Difference, are once again the favourite to get the boot from tonight’s X Factor show.
Paddy Power is offering odds of 2-1 on Sean and Sarah Smith getting the boot tonight – with Alisha Bennett second favourite at 7-2.
I actually think that Sean and Sarah will survive another week at least, especially as they are singing a High School Musical song. Surely that should win them some young votes….

Simon Cowell has had a two hour showdown with his three other X Factor judges and told them to stop the bitching and fighting.
“Stop fighting,” he told the trio. “Stop flouncing…and stop getting on my nerves.”
“Simon went off the deep end with the lot of them,” an ITV source told the Mirror. “He’s sick of the bitching and decided to show them who wears the trousers on The X Factor.”
“Simon’s top dog and he gave them a full and frank reminder.”
Good on you Simon!

X factor singer, Adam Chandler, from boyband Futureproof, has spoken about the nerves and worries of the X Factor 2007 contestants.
“Everybody is really, really nervous this week,” Adam told the Daily Record. “Last week, we were all on a high because we’d made it to the finals and it was the first live show.
“But this week has been a bit of a reality check and we’ve had to knuckle down. Everybody is in pieces, it’s pretty nerve-racking.”

X Factor vocal coach Yvie Burnett has praised mentor Dannii Minogue for her hands on nature with her acts.
“She’s really hands on,” Yvie told the Daily Record. “She’s always on the phone asking me what about this, what about that. She really wants to do the best for her people.”
Burnett has also revealed that we can expect a better performance from Leon Jackson tonight:
“It was awful watching someone so unhappy,” Yvie said. “But this week, he’s bounced back and is far happier.”

Chantelle is hoping that her new, enhanced breasts will turn a few heads in jungle camp, and she told The Daily Star:
“I want to show him [Preston] exactly what he’s missing!”
Chantelle, a 32B, said: I’d love to be a D cup. Preston didn’t want me to get them done. He said that fake boobs were grotesque but now I can do what I want.”
She added: “I’m looking for fun – but not a man yet! I’m just planning to flirt with as many guys as possible.”

Dina Lohan, mother of wildchild Lindsey, is due to start filming a new reality TV show about her life in the Lohan family.
Dina said of the TV series: “There are so many misconceptions about me and my family. I’m setting the record straight.
“It won’t just be following my family around like other shows. It’ll show me cultivating careers, going to soccer practice. I’m a big supporter of domestic violence charities, so they’ll show that.
“Then they’ll show (son) Cody at soccer practice. Ali going to school and in the studio. It’ll encompass everything. You’ll see me having five business meetings in the city. We want it just to be real. It’s okay if it’s not as crazy as the tabloids make it.”

Raquelle Gracie, member of X factor girl group, Hope, has spoken to The Manchester Evening News to warn X Factor viewers that this weeks show will be even raunchier than last.
“This week is probably even more raunchy than last. Perhaps they should call it The XXX Factor.” Raquelle told the newspaper.
The girls appeared on last week’s opening show, barely dressed at all, and Raquelle says that her family and friends handled the state of undress rather well.
“My dad said afterwards, `I’m very proud of you and I understand about your outfit. I’m not mad with you’. And I said, `I’m really sorry’,” she explains.
“My boyfriend was OK about it – OK as a boyfriend can be about his girlfriend being half naked on stage. He just said, `I thought you looked gorgeous and sang very well’. Read more & comment »

Oh the shock!!!!! Oh the drama!!!! You can imagine our surprise (not!) when we heard that Sharon Osbourne has met with Simon Cowell and agreed to return to the X Factor this Saturday night.
A show insider told The Mirror: “They had a meeting and it went well. Everyone got to have their say.”
Sharon was expected to attend a sound check at the show’s Wembley studios yesterday.
A spokeswoman revealed: “We’re fully expecting Sharon to be at the studio on Saturday.”
If this story is true…..and we have our doubts….then who has been mentoring Sharon’s contestants all week? Who chose their songs and who has helped hone their performances? If they can survive without Sharon then we need to ask…….do we need the judges at all?
