As if it’s not awful enough to have our eardrums offended by the Big Brother twins version of Barbie Girl, now BB wannabe Shabnam has released her own version of Lulu’s Shout. We think it’s pretty awful, but I’ll let you make up your own mind……
In a flurry of chintzy fabric, manes of perfectly-coiffed hair and language that would make Gordon Ramsay blush, the brand new reality show To The Manor Bowen starts its exclusive run on LIVING this week. This series follows the famously flamboyant Llewelyn-Bowen family as they attempt to set up home in the country. Interior designer Laurence (famed for shows such as Changing Rooms and Home Front), wife Jackie and children Cecile and Hermione are moving from London to the Cotswolds in search of the good life – though quite how the colourful clan will go down with the locals remains to be seen, especially if they intend to bring their unique sense of style to bare on their new country pile.
Laurence is loathe to leave the capital, but when Jackie suggests it’s a little passe to live there after 40 he concedes it might be time to head for pastures new. The unconventional pair see themselves as ambassadors of posh who are perfectly placed to be the new Lord and Lady of the manor, but even their kids are dubious about their parents’ aristocratic credentials. Each week, the show follows the dynamic duo as they set about renovating their new but dilapidated 17th-century home, putting their own eccentric stamp on it. How will their style go down with the neighbours? Read more & comment »

Ohhhh ……only two days left until the next X Factor live extravaganza!! We are down one act, but in past series’ as the weeks progress the remaining acts tend to get better and better, some of them had better hope they improve by this Saturday or they might not get another chance…..(Leon…cough….cough!)
Anyway enough of the speculating, the staff at Unreality TV have managed to get their hands on the list of songs the contestants will be singing this Saturday. We would love to hear your thoughts on them….
X-Factor judge, Louis Walsh, has managed acts such as Westlife, Girls Aloud, Shayne Ward and G4. He formerly steered Boyzone to chart topping success and also propelled Ronan Keating to solo stardom. Now he plans to guide other budding pop stars to superstar success with his “Fast Track to Fame”.
Louis has succeeded in notching up a staggering 28 number one singles through his stable of artists and has starred alongside Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne on X-Factor for three years.
Now he is sharing his expertise with a new generation of pop wannabees. “Fast Track to Fame” takes us through the A-Z of the music business (or from A is for Agents to X is for X-Factor) with the honest truth of how the pop industry really works.
The book is peppered throughout with contributions and anecdotes from many of Louis’ stars, stories of their own successes and setbacks, and lavishly illustrated with exclusive colour photographs. It is essential reading for anyone, of any age, dreaming of becoming a star.
Leona Lewis’ single, Bleeding Love has sold out at HMV stores in various parts of the UK.
New stock is being dispatched asap, and HMV have reported that Leona is on track to sell an astounding 250,000 copies of the song, making it the fastest selling single of the year so far.
Former Hollyoaks babe, Gemma Atkinson is said to be gearing up for the jungle, as she accepts a spot on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.
The Daily Star has reported that Gemma will be leaving for Australia within the next two weeks, and the show is due to hit our screens on the 12th Of November.
Royal Marine cook Jeremy Hooper (33) and his wife Jane (29), a trainee teacher from Devon, have won BBC Two’s The Restaurant.
The couple seen winning in tonight’s programme will join forces with Raymond Blanc to open a new restaurant in Thame close to Raymond’s renowned Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons.
Says Jane: “We have won the opportunity of a lifetime. It’s what we’ve always dreamed of doing but we never imagined our dreams would become reality so soon, or with such an amazing mentor.
“We couldn’t wish for a more well-respected, knowledgeable, and experienced mentor than Raymond. We know that we still have a lot to learn and that it’s going to be very hard work, but we know we’ve got a great teacher and we are ready for our next challenge!” Read more & comment »
Singer, Marie Osmond has collapsed during a performance on American TV show, Dancing With Stars.
The 48-year-old had just finished a routine with partner Jonathan Roberts and fainted during judges’ comments. The show immediately went to a commercial break and returned with host Tom Bergeron telling viewers that Marie was fine.
Bergeron said: “I want to just quote her exactly. The first words out of her mouth when she saw us all leaning over her were, ‘Oh, crap.’”
Brighton-based designer Sarah Lu entered the Dragons’ Den tonight armed with a set of small canvas dolls, each with the glaring face of a Dragon, hoping to secure £35k investment in return for 25% for her mini-me, replica doll business.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Youdoodoll at the weekend and it is such a novel and fun product, I was sure that the Dragons would jump at the chance to back Sarah’s company.
I was right, and tonight Sarah managed to ignite a bidding war between Dragons, Deborah Meaden and James Caan. James offered Sarah the full amount of money for 40% of her business, Deborah offered the same money, but wanted a 45% stake. Read more & comment »
X Factor judge Simon Cowell has this week blasted Take That for releasing their latest single, Rule The World in the same week Leona Lewis releases her bid for number one, Bleeding Love.
Simon told BANG Showbiz: “I am annoyed Take That have chosen to release their new single at the same time as Leona. I just don’t know why they would do that.
I am confused as to why Simon Cowell thinks that Take That owe Leona Lewis any favours. Wasn’t it enough that they sang with Leona on last year’s X factor live final, helping her win the XF title?
Remember Paul Burrell screaming like a girl? The moment Katie met Peter? When Carol Thatcher took a pee or Toby Anstis found he couldn’t do a poo? Or maybe Myleene’s infamous showering moments are most memorable?
These are just some of the 50 “greatest bits” from the six series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! which can be watched and rated at the brand new site www.itv.com/celebrity
The clips, which span six series of ITV1’s hit reality show, run from Tony Blackburn’s triumph in series one right up to Dean Gaffney’s cockroach shampoo from last year’s show.
What a surprise…..who could have predicted it? Sharon Osbourne will be returning to the X Factor this Saturday night despite insisting she was leaving.
Sharon’s spokesperson has revealed, “Sharon will be back, it’s business as usual.”
Oh the drama! What X factor series would be complete without a judge threatening to leave, and then deciding that huge amounts of money and their time in front of the nation, are much more important than any scruples or morals they may claim to have.
Sharon has just dropped in my estimation, though she will never sit as low as fellow X factor judge, Louis Walsh!
Sharon Osbourne was thought to have quit the X factor purely because she felt responsible for Kimberleys fate last Saturday night. But reports now suggest that Sharon was also furious that millions of people missed Kimberley’s performance due to the X Factor being aired fifteen minutes earlier than billed.
An X Factor insider told Heatworld:
“The show was advertised to run at 5.45pm on Saturday and instead started at 5.30pm,” our source pointed out – which is true. “So people missed Kimberley’s performance and Sharon thought that was unfair. She genuinely said enough is enough and didn’t want to come back. She also blames herself for the wrong song choices and wanted to leave. ITV bosses have been begging Sharon to come back and she has said she will.”
Famed for their business prowess rather than their childish sense of humour, will the Dragons see the funny side of Sarah Lu’s creation the ‘Youdoodoll’, or will the small canvas dolls each customised with a photo of a Dragon’s face, fail to amuse and incur the wrath of the Dragons?
At 9pm on Monday 22 October on BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den, Youdoodoll will be seen on UK television for the very first time as Brighton-based designer Sarah Lu climbs the stairs armed with a set of small canvas dolls, each with the glaring face of a Dragon, hoping to secure £35k investment in return for 25% for her mini-me, replica doll business.
I don’t know yet whether or not the product attracts the backing of the Den, but after being sent one of the dolls to have a play with last week, I can tell you that it should.
On first examination,. the doll looks like any other, except for the fact that it lacks a face. But what makes this doll different is that in the box is an iron on transfer sheet, onto which you can print a photograph of your child, your loved one, or your favourite Hollywood hunk. Just imagine, going to bed with a mini Brad Pitt…..see the possibilities? Read more & comment »
