Bosses behind E4 reality tv show, Celebrity Hijack are said to be in a state of panic, after a practice run for the show went wrong this week.
The producers had hoped that the incredibly gifted and talented young people taking part would prove to be the real stars of the show, however in a dummy run this week, most of the entertainment was provided by the celebrities playing Big Brother.
A source told The Daily Mail: “Basically the problem was the celebrities totally out-shone and overshadowed the contestants.
“They were much more entertaining than the housemates. Now there are some very worried people around.
“Would you rather see and listen to the likes of Jimmy Carr and Matt Lucas or a young unknown who’s good at chess or plays the violin? Read more & comment »

Being an X Factor runner up isn’t all its cracked up to be. You go from having every minute of every day planned out for you before the shows final, then the day after the show ends the staff are nowhere to be seen, and no one wants to know you.
A journalist from Same Difference’s local newspaper happened to be with the duo on the morning after the grand finale, and told us that Sarah and Sean looked completely lost. They didn’t know if they should stay in the hotel or get ready to go home, and the X Factor crew that had been constantly with them for months had all suddenly disappeared.
Sean Smith, the brother of the band told The Daily Star: Read more & comment »

Anthony Kavanagh, or Kav as he was known in the nineties, came second in ITV’s Grease Is The Word, and hoped that his success in the show would relaunch his flagging pop career.
However, just a few months later, Kav has ended up performing in a Holiday Inn, where punters pay £26 for a three course meal and a night of entertainment provided by a failing popstar.
A little while ago, I read that Kav had been a diva to the person who maintained his unofficial fan site on MySpace. The basic gist was that he had completely blanked the person after they showed years of support to him. I can’t help thinking that gigs in the Holiday Inn are a little taste of karmic intervention for someone who’s (allegedly!) so up his own arse!
It sounds for all intents that Kav is taking on any job that comes up at this stage. Acting, singing, reality television. I think he needs to focus himself instead of being some kind of odd job man.

X Factor runners up, Same Difference, have scored a record deal with show judge, Simon Cowell.
However, the deal is a bit of a test, as the brother and sister group will only be signed for one single at first and will go on to record an album if the first track sells well.
“We have to sell loads and hopefully make number one before they will sign us for an album,” Sean Smith told the Daily Mirror.

Rhydian Roberts has admitted that he doesn’t like the X Factor’s winners single, that scooped Christmas number one this week.
He told The Mirror: “I don’t particularly like [it]. But I didn’t like my version either. I’m glad I didn’t win and release the song as my rendition would have got slated.”
Rhydian has a point. It’s not a great song, particularly not for a man with not a large vocal range.
