Alesha Dixon has won Strictly Come Dancing 2007.
Alesha managed to overcome crippling panic attacks just hours before the show, and went on to perform five amazing dance numbers during the final on BBC One last night.
After the result was revealed, Alesha said:
“I can’t believe it. I feel like I’m going to wake up and it was just a dream.
“It was worth all the bruises, all the lack of sleep, all the painful cuts and sore joints, all the tears and all the 380 hours of training.
“I have spent more time with Matthew than with my family. I’m going to keep dancing – and with Matthew if that’s OK.” Read more & comment »
X Factor runner up Rhydian Roberts has claimed that his mentor, Dannii Minogue never ‘got him.’
“I genuinely don’t think she likes me!” he told The Mirror. “She’s lovely but I just don’t think she gets me at all.
“I think we grew closer as the competition heated up but she never liked me in the first place.
“But there you go. People in life are always going to like you or hate you.”
X Factor judge Louis Walsh has revealed that he was disappointed with the standard of contestants on this years X factor show.
“I got fed up,” Walsh told Heat magazine. “It’s a talent show but the standard wasn’t as good as last series.”
He added that he “couldn’t care less” if Simon Cowell sacks him again….that sounds like an invitation to me!
X Factor winner, Leon Jackson has been asked to perform at Edinburgh Hogmanay street party this year.
“I am delighted Leon accepted my invitation to perform for Edinburgh’s fantastic Hogmanay crowd,” the city’s Lord Provost, George Grubb told the Daily Record. “He’s a true star in the making. All of Scotland is proud of him and I’m sure his appearance at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay will be an early highlight in a long and successful career.”
Swing singer, Michael Buble enjoyed singing on stage with X factor winner leon Jackson so much, that he now wants to record a track with him.
“As soon as X Factor was over, Michael’s PA was straight on the phone to try to set something up,” an insider told The Mirror. “Leon couldn’t believe it. He was completely bowled over.”
Celebrity Hijack is due to kick off on Channel 4 in only a week or so, and we have managed to find out what celebrities we can look forward to seeing on the show.

Channel 4 has allowed us to see these pictures of a redesigned, revamped Big Brother house before the kick off of E4’s Celebrity Hijack this January.
The show will feature some of Britain’s most talented young people. We can look forward to seeing how MENSA members, star athletes, and young scientists cope under the watchful eye of Big Brother. BB of course will be played by different celebrities throughout the course of the show, Malcolm McLaren and Joan Rivers are thought to have already put their names down for the role!
Channel 4 said: “The identity of the celebs taking part remains tightly under wraps, but their aim will be simple: putting their stamp on the activities in the Big Brother house and generally causing mischief.”

Both Alesha and Matt Di’Angelo will perform five dances each, but Alesha is tipped 1/3, ahead of actor Matt Di Angelo on 9/4.

X factor runner up, Rhydian Roberts has revealed why he missed the shows wrap party this week.
Rhydian told The Daily Mail: “It’s Leon’s week and he should be celebrating and I don’t want people coming up to me saying, ‘You were robbed!’ Although it’s nice. I didn’t want to pull focus.”
Do you believe him? I’m not sure I do!
Former X factor winner, Steve Brookstein, has offered some words of advice to this years winner Leon Jackson.
Steve was dropped by Simon Cowell’s record label after only 8 months, and his big recommendation is to keep Simon Cowell happy!
“[Leon] has got to be careful – he doesn’t want to fall out with Simon Cowell,” Brookstein told This Is Aberdeen. “They tried to get me to do a lot of cheesy things I wasn’t happy with when I was working for him and I said no. It looks like Leon’s management have gotten to Emily Biggs from rival band Hope. She has now denied that there was ever any romance between her and the X factor winner. She told The Sun:
“There’s no romance but I’m pleased he won. He wanted to do it for his Mum. We spoke yesterday and he’s over the moon.”
If there never was any romance, then why have the pair only decided to deny it now? It all seems a bit fishy to me!

Leon Jackson is so far ahead in the mid week chart with his Debut Single, ‘When You Believe’ that the only song with a chance of beating him is The Pogues ‘Fairytale In New York’.
So come on people, you know you love that traditional Christmas jingle…..offensive lyrics and all!
As the number of complaints flooding into OFCOM grows higher and higher, the mother of X factor finalist Rhydian Roberts has asked fans to move on.
Angela Roberts, 56, said the family now wants to put the incident behind them, telling the South Wales Echo: “We are just asking the nation to let it go and move on. The competition is overstaying.”
She added: “We give our very best to Leon as a family and look forward to Rhydian’s own career developing as it should.”
She might have a point. It’s not like ITV are going to strip Leon of his title anyway!
