Denise Van Outen Refuses To Capitalise On Lee Mead Romance

Denise Van Outen

I’d Do Anything judge, Denise Van Outen, has just raised in my estimations once again, as she reveals that she refuses to make money out of her romance with Joseph winner, Lee Mead.

“I’m not hiding our relationship, but I don’t want to be a celebrity couple,” Denise told Celebs on Sunday. “I don’t want to make money out of us being together.

“We’ve been asked about advertising his ‘n’ hers mobile phones. People have even started asking if we’d do a fly-on-the-wall documentary and I’m like: ‘No!’ If I ever got married I’d never sell my wedding.”

Denise also gave her opinion on Kerry Katona and her new reality TV show. Read more & comment »

The Apprentice: Nicholas De Lacey Brown Gets Death Threats

The first person to be ‘fired’ from BBC reality TV show, The Apprentice, has received death threats he claims.

“People have sent me messages saying they want to kill or injure me,” Nicholas told the Daily Star Sunday. “One read something like: ‘If I see you, I’ll hurt you’.”

However in true cocky style Nicholas claims the threats will not deter him.

“The abuse I have had does not bother me,” he said. “I have had some supportive emails too. I take it all as a compliment. They think they can push me down with this abuse but all it does is pump me up. I realised soon after the show started that it was not for me – it was just such hard work. Read more & comment »

‘The Apprentice’ Criticised By Anti Bullying Charity

Alan Sugar

Anti-bullying charity Kidscape has spoken out against BBC reality TV show, The Apprentice.

Kidscape director Claude Knight claimed that scenes of wannabes being humiliated by their fellow contestants on the show can encourage school ground bullying.

“These shows are about public humiliation and The Apprentice takes it to an extreme,” Knight told the Daily Star Sunday.

“Young people will take the behaviour they see in the programme into their everyday lives and the catchphrases come into the language. Kids think: ‘It’s on TV so it must be OK’. It gives bullying a credibility.”

Kidscape was specifically speaking about two scenes that are due to air this Wednesday night. The episode will see Jenny Celerier and Lucinda Ledgerwood at loggerheads and at one point, Lucinda ends up visibly upset after being described as a “fungus” by Jenny, who then threatens to shove a dummy down her throat. I’d Do Anything: Who Impressed You Tonight?

I’d Do Anything: Rachel

I just love the BBC/Lloyd Webber shows! Actually talented people, who can all sing and aren’t there because they look good, or their Scottish!

I loved the little Olivers, and there was a lot of quality singing from the Nancy’s. I don’t think there were any bad performances on tonight’s show, but there were a few stand out girls for me.

I thought that Rachel Tucker was probably the number one tonight, she sang ‘About You Now’, and it’s not really surprising that she was so good given that she’s probably the most trained from the whole group.

Surprisingly brilliant was the red headed Jessie. Jessie opened the show with ‘River Deep, Mountain High’ and apart from her Elvis mouth thing, she really blew me away. How a girl so young can sing so powerfully is beyond me. Read more & comment »

Ramsay told Access Hollywood: “I thought about having Victoria on as one of the ladies from Beverly Hills in [a] cooking lesson.

“She decided to tour with the Spice Girls. It was a shame because we missed each other by literally a week, otherwise…it would [have been] quite nice to see her attending one of the cooking classes in the kitchen with me breathing down her neck.”

Gordon also shed some light on his friendship with the Beckhams saying: “They’re great foodies. Victoria eats…in a very healthy manner, nothing over-drizzled with olive oil, fat, cream or butter and things lightly steamed. Read more & comment »
