After a few weeks of conservative dressses, Cheryl Cole was out to shock tonight with her pink tutu style dress, teamed with the black patent ankle boots and hair bow. She looked a bit like Minnie Mouse to us.
The dress is a custom made piece by British fashion designer, Giles Deacon. Some Twitter responses to the night’s fashion have been:
Dannii seems to be wearing a dress made from three other dresses, Cheryl has a dead cat on her hair, Louis’ bowtie is just tragic.
Omg- Cheryl’s dress??- that is the most ugly dress i have ever seen in my entire life. And Lloyds hair??? Gah why?
My god cheryl looks a mess (and I love cheryl!) but loving danii’s dress and hair!
George Michael is reportedly attending the X Factor live shows this weekend, in fact rumours suggest that the star is already at the studios.
The show’s contestants will be singing songs by the Wham! star and a show insider told the newspaper: “George is hoping to come and watch the live shows this weekend.”

So off we go and as ever, the show kicks off with the positively edible Dermot looking awesome in his suit. I would wreck that dude…
However, I digress; and here come the judges, strolling onto stage to George Michael’s I Want Your Sex. So we’re back to the subject of Dermot again…
And now we’re having a little montage of George Michael’s hits, some of which of course the contestants are singing tonight. But it seems that he isn’t going to be on the show, or at least, not tonight. Read more & comment »
JLS singer Oritsé Williams said that Louis Walsh has really helped them forge a successful music career.
Speaking to RTÉ.ie, Williams said: “To be fair, Louis was really very instrumental for the industry believing in us.”
“He really believed in us. Funnily enough, up to this very day, he still is supporting us, which is incredible, even though he hasn’t got direct involvement with us.”
X Factor helper (well she doesn’t actually have an official title!) Sinitta has been busy on her Twitter page this week. As well as giving little hints about song choices and themes throughout the week, Sinitta has also been talking about who she thinks will excel during tonight’s Wham! themed show.
Last night, whilst watching the acts rehearse Sinitta tweeted:
Every week we bring you a list of songs that the X Factor acts will reportedly be singing on Saturday night. Keep checking back with us throughout the week, the list will be updated as information comes in.
This week’s X Factor theme is Wham! George Michael week and songs choices are revealed over the jump.
With only three weeks to go until the X Factor final, the contestants are beginning to feel the strain. As the pressure builds, many of the singers are rumoured to be at breaking point, with only young Joe McElderry taking it all in his stride.
A pal of Stacey Solomon’s told The Sun that she is worried that the public will tire of her ‘wooden performances. They said:
She said: “She knows she’s a good singer, but she’s not energetic and can look wooden.”
Uh-oh, Danyl Johnson may have just made himself one very powerful enemy. Today’s newspapers are reporting that Simon Cowell is furious with the former teacher and has warned him that he needs to stop the tears and tantrums and get on with perfecting his X Factor performances.
We heard earlier this week that Danyl threw a massive strop after deciding that his Wham song wasn’t working. He later had a ‘meeting’ with Mr Cowell in which he demanded a new song.
The Daily Star has today reported that Simon blasted Danyl saying:
Can you believe that in just three short weeks time we will be getting ready for the X Factor final of 2009? The event will no doubt be massive but surely ITV bosses could have found a better celebrity guest than Paul McCartney?
The Mirror have reported that Mr Cowell is trying to land the former Beatles star to mentor and perform with one of the finalists. Our money is on Joe McElderry, the poor lad.
X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is getting fed up with all the rumours surrounding her marriage and has claimed that she and husband Ashley Cole have never been happier.
Footballer Ashley was recently injured and a pal told The Mirror:
“Cheryl has been nursing her man better. The pair dote on each other. They are more in love than ever before.
Now Unreality TV are not normally ones for posting silly video clips but all you X factor fans have got to watch this hilarious video. Irish band, The Corrigan Brothers have written a song for our favourite TV twins and after one listen, you’ll have the tune running through your head all day long.
X Factor judge Simon Cowell has tipped 20 year old mum Stacey Solomon as being one of this year’s final acts.
Speaking at a charity dinner on Monday night, Cowell told the Jewish Chronicle: “I like Stacey. She’s a sweetheart. She’s a nice girl with a good voice and she’s getting better. She’s going to be in the final. She’s my favourite act after my own acts.”

JLS - X Factor 2008
A zealous JLS fan has went to extreme measures in order to meet the boys. The boys bags were being packed onto a bus in Dublin, when a security guard discovered a girl zipped inside one of them.
“It’s getting to the point where the fanaticism is dangerous,” an insider told The Sun. “This girl was so meticulous. She had brought along her own bag to match the luggage the lads normally use. But it was moving slightly and didn’t have any tags, so one of the security lads clocked it.
