Cheryl Cole is reportedly being considered for yet another reality TV show.
The former Girls Aloud singer was of course a judge on The X Factor until she was sacked from the US version last year and refused to return to the UK show.
Insiders say that Fox bosses are now regretting their decision to let her go and are considering offering her a whopping £6 million to replace Jennifer Lopez on American Idol next year.

Adam Lambert has once again proved his popularity and his spot as one of the most successful ever American Idol stars.
The 30 year old singer has been a fan favourite, ever since he finished in second place on the 2009 series of the hit Fox reality TV show and this week, he managed to top the US Billboard Hot 200 with his latest album.
The second record released by the handsome singer has been a long time in the making, but it seems the wait was worth it as the “Better Than I Know Myself” hitmaker has managed to push it to debut in the top chart position, after it sold 77,000 copies.

After being sensationally sacked from her judging position on the X Factor USA half way through the season, what better way for Cheryl Cole to reap revenge on dastardly Simon Cowell than by signing up to be a judge on American rival talent show, American Idol?
Ever since her controversial exit from the US version of the show that earned her a ‘nation’s sweetheart’ badge, Cheryl Cole has remained quiet about her future plan, whilst the rest of the world went into speculation overdrive, linking her to just about anything that may slightly pee music mogul, Cowell, off.

American Idol finalist, Phillip Phillips, has revealed that he has to undergo emergency surgery, originally planned for after the show finale next week, immediately.
Phillips has been suffering with kidney stones and had scheduled surgery for after the grand final, but after spending a day with his family physician the surgery has now been classed as an emergency, and the procedure to be scheduled immediately, meaning he will go under the knife before the final show.

Nigel Lythgoe, the executive in charge of hit US singing talent show, American Idol, has expressed a desire for Jennifer Lopez to return tot he show next year for her third stint as judge.
Recently single Lopez had hinted that a return wasn’t necessarily on the cards in a recent The Ellen DeGeneres Show appearance, saying that she “didn’t know” if she would return as the commitment “locks” her down for many months of the year, a hard balance to strike for the single mum of twins.

American Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert, has revealed that he thinks new rival reality talent shows, X Factor USA and The Voice, are “great” for the music industry.
Speaking to The AP, Lambert, made famous from the hit US talent show in which he came second to Kris Allen in the final, said that he was happy with the influx of singing competitions being added to televised programming, saying:”I think that it’s great that there are shows [like The Voice and The X Factor] out there giving people that platform.”

The American Idol semi finals are almost here, and the top three have been decided after Hollie Cavanagh became the latest reject from the eleventh series of the popular talent show.
Ryan Seacrest announced that the 16 year old, who performed I Can’t Make You Love Me and Faithfully during the live show, received the fewest votes from the public pole, bringing the young girl’s dream to an end.

Pop sensation Rihanna has been confirmed to perform on the American Idol final, it has been revealed.
Fox, the broadcasters behind the hit talent show, released a statement last night confirming that the Uberella-ella-ella singer will perform her new single, Where Have You Been, during the season finale on May 23rd.

The 30 year old singer shot to fame when he competed in the hit Fox talent series back in 2009, finishing second as runner up to Kris Allen.
He has went on to become one of the best selling, most popular stars of the show ever since and this week, Adam took to his Twitter account to announce that he was coming back.

It’s only been a few hours since Elise Testone was eliminated from this season’s American Idol, but she hasn’t wasted any time in telling people what she thinks about the judges comments.
Elise Testone, who was voted off the Fox talent show on last night’s results show, after finding herself in the bottom three with Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine and receiving the fewest public votes, has came out and admitted that she doesn’t think the advice she received from the show’s judges helped her in the competition.
