American Idol star Adam Lambert has gotten rid of his trademark quiff and shaved half of his hair off!

The ‘I I Had You’ singer revealed his new look on Twitter today and was besieged by some of his 500,000 concerned fans, anxious to know what had happened to his stunning ebony locks.

In the picture Adam is seen dressed in a sequined shirt, a black top hat with a red “A” on the front — and the right side of his head is shorn. In response to his frantic fans he tweeted:

Calm down… Just shaved one side…

His fans in Royal Oak, Mich., and Toronto will get to enjoy the new look at Adam’s Glam Nation shows this weekend.We love it? Do you?
