16 year old Aaron Kelly surprised us on last night’s American idol live show, as we were pretty convinced that he’d gotten this far on his cute looks and not his talent. Last night he proved us wrong.

Aaron gave a great rendition of Rascal Flatts’ ‘Here Comes Goodbye’ for the judges and though he lacked a little pizazz in his performance, he certainly has the voice to go all the way.

Kara DioGuardi said he has a raw, natural talent,

Simon Cowell added “You look at the moment like you’re embarrassed to be here so you have to get that into your head why you’re here. You’re a good singer. Very likable. Very cute, but you have to take control of the song. I think absolutely you’ll be here this week.”
