American Idol eliminee Aaron Kelly has been taking about his post Idol plans and admitted that he wants to graduate from High School before he concentrates on his music career.
The 17 year old singer was voted off the singing show this week, after Simon Cowell branded his performance of ‘Fly ‘Me To The Moon’ as ‘Mousey.
Talking about his plans for the future during a conference call with reporters, Digital Spy report that Aaron intends to finish high school before embarking on his debut album. He said:
“I’m on the verge of finishing up with high school and I have all my senior credits, then I’d love to record an album and get to do some original music that I’ve written because we’re not allowed to do that on the show. I don’t know if people know I write songs, it’s a huge passion of mine.”
When asked if it was important that he remained true to his age on the show, Aaron said:
“Absolutely. You don’t want to change who you are because the people send you through from who you are in the beginning, and if you change who you are then you’re changing the person that America fell in love with.”
