Former American Idol contestant Katelyn Epperley has claimed that show frontrunner Crystal Bowersox felt ‘betrayed’ by Ryan Seacrest this week.

During a radio interview with Star 102.5, Katelyn revealed that she texted Crystal after the media began to report that she had considered quitting the show but was counseled out of leaving by presenter Ryan Seacrest. Epperley then claimed that Crystal texted her back saying:

“I’m fine…betrayed by Seacrest!” Pretty much says it all, doesn’t it?

Katelyn went on to say that Crystal had simply gotten a bit upset backstage because she missed her child and Ryan helped comfort her. She insists that the whole thing was blown completely out of proportion.

Crystal took to the official Idol facebook page yesterday to claim that the media had ‘stretched and skewed’ the story out of recognition. Read more here.
