There have been many stories written this week about the relationship between American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox and presenter Ryan Seacrest.

Last week sources suggested that the mum of one had been about to succumb to the intense pressure she felt and quit the show, but that Seacrest gave her a pep talk and convinced her to stay. Days later, former Idol hopeful Katelyn Epperly revealed in a radio interview that Crystal felt ‘betrayed’ by Seacrest and was convinced that he had leaked the story to the media.

Katelyn told Star 102.5 that Crystal texted her after the story broke saying:

“I’m fine…betrayed by Seacrest!” Pretty much says it all, doesn’t it?”

Crystal alluded to the upset on Idol’s official Facebook page. She wrote:

no apologies for being human. Life is always testing ones strength and weakness threshold. That’s how we learn how strong we
really are:-)

However, the 24 year old Ohio woman has now insisted that she is not at all angry with Ryan Seacrest and that she highly respects the star. Crystal told Zap2it:

“We were never angry with each other. Ryan is a great guy, we had a great conversation, he gave me good advice. I highly respect him … There’s no beef with me and Ryan. Ryan’s a great man. Whatever anybody else says is their opinion, but I’m cool with Ryan.”
