American Idol contestant Crystal Bowersox has admitted that she was singing to her boyfriend on this week’s R&B themed show.

During Tuesday night’s live show Simon Cowell called Crystal’s version of ‘Midnight Train To Georgia’ ‘incredible’ and hailed her choice of song as ‘sensational.’

Speaking to People, she said: “[I was singing to] my boyfriend and better half Tony. It helps that he stood up so I could actually see him and everything else disappeared.”

On her new femme fatale image Crystal added: “And he liked the heels, they were nice, but not all the time!”
