We love American Idol contestant Siobhan Magnus and think that she is one of the few female contestants that knows what she is good at and where she fits in.

Siobhan is not afraid to pick a big song, which is a good thing as she has an amazingly big voice to showcase. On last night’s live show, Siobhan chose to sing the Animals’ classic “House of the Rising Sun.” Weirdly while Kara, Randy and Ellen loved the performance and song choice, Simon Cowell did not.

Judges Comments:

Randy Jackson: “What I like about you is you take every risk, every chance. I don’t think you listen to us at all, but keep doing that, because it’s hot!”

Ellen DeGeneres: “You are why I love music, because it’s supposed to move you like you just moved me. You’re spectacular!”

Kara DioGuardi: “The a cappella vibe was a brilliant choice…… For somebody who is an unlikely character on the show, you are doing great.”

Simon: Said that he “wasn’t such a fan” and called the entire song “a bit weird”. He also thought the song choice was a little ‘gloomy.’
