Lee Dewyze is one of our favourite singers in this American Idol season but his performance of Beast Of Burden on this week’s live show received a very mixed response from the show judges.

The 23 year old should have done Rolling Stones brilliantly and while he did sing well, there was nothing too exciting about his performance.

Randy Jackson thought it was ‘dope,” adding “it was one of your better performances.”

Ellen DeGeneres was expecting a “tiny bit more” from him.

Kara DioGuardi thinks that Lee is growing faster than anybody else in the performance.

Simon Cowell liked his story but suggests that his personality is holding him back. He assured Lee that he has an “incredibly good voice” and advises him to “stamp his mark” on the competition.
