American Idol 2010: Is Todrick Hall a crook?
During last weeks American Idol Hollywood show, 24 year old Todrick Hall was revealed as one of the 12 male finalists on this years series. However, not all of American was happy to see him get this chance to shine.
It seems that the young Texan isn’t quit as sweet as he’d have you believe and many parents are baying for his blood after he took their money and ran last year.
A local news channel reports that in June 2009, parents brought their children to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center to audition for a remake of The Wizard of Oz. Hall wrote and directed the musical production and asked parents to pay $75 per child for costume and studio hire costs. At a later date the parents were informed that the play was cancelled as the theatre company had ran out of cash and were refused a refund on their fees.
Hall insists that the producers lost a major sponsor and couldn’t put on the show. However, upon investigation no local theatres had been booked and though it’s website billed former Idol star Diana DeGarmo as having a lead role in the show, she had no knowledge of the Nashville production.
So watch out for Todrick Hall, because this is one story we don’t see going away!
