Church singer Jermaine Sellers from Joliet, Illinois wowed the American Idol judges in the Atlanta auditions this year.

Jermaine, who has been caring for his mom who suffers with spina bifida since he was 17, impressed the panel with his smooth R&B version of Joan Osborne’s “What If God Was One Of Us.”

Kara exclaimed “Jermaine I love you!” while Randy Jackson described the performance as ‘one of the best so far’ and Mary J Blige said his performance was ‘full of control.’ The judges unanimously agreed that his inspiring audition was enough to win him a ticket to the Hollywood round of the show and we don’t think that will be the last we see of Jermaine. This guy really seems to have the whole package!
