American Idol 2010: Katelyn Epperly, Lilly Scott, Alex Lambert and Todrick Hall voted off
As this year’s final 16 American Idol contestants became just 12, last night’s results show had a few shocks for us AI fans.
While many of us would have expected Paige Miles to be eliminated and when Ryan told her and Katelyn Epperly that one of them would be leaving, we were shocked to find out that it was the talented Miss Epperly and not the warbling Miss Miles. Katelyn sang ‘I feel The Earth Move’ on this week’s live show and though it wasn’t up to her usual high standard, it wasn’t anywhere near bad enough to get her kicked out.
The second girl to leave was Lilly Scott, another shock to us. On this week’s live show Lilly sang Patsy Cline’s I Fall To Pieces and though Simon Cowell told her it was risky, the rest of the judges seemed impressed with the current and edgy vibe she brought to the song.
The first boy to eliminated on last night’s result show was Todrick Hall. We think it was a bit of a shame because Todrick was such a stand out character in the American Idol audition shows, he just hasn’t managed to live up to the hype since. He gave quite a good rendition of Queen’s ‘Somebody To Love’ this week, prompting Randy Jackson to declare ‘Todrick is back!’ Seems like it was too little, too late.
The last person to be voted off on last night’s American Idol results show was Alex Lambert. We think he would have survived if he had gotten rid of that ridiculous looking mullet. We weren’t feeling too bad about Alex’s elimination until he started crying into the mic, after all Kara was right to call his last performance of ‘Trouble’ ‘very stiff.’
We’d love to know what you thought of this week’s results and of your American idol final 12. As always please leave your comments and thoughts below!
