Kristin Chenoweth joined the American Idol judging panel for last night’s Orlando auditions and we thought she did pretty well. At first Cowell’s choice of judge baffled us, as we only knew Kristin from US comedy ‘Pushing Daisies’.

However we have since discovered that the actress is pretty well known in theatre circles and was actually the original Glinda in “Wicked” on Broadway. Check out the amazing clip below.

On her Idol experience Chenoweth told People:

“It was harder than I thought because you really do have to look into the faces of people and say yes or no. I don’t like to be a bummer and hurt anyone’s feelings.”

She added:

“I saw some really good talent and hopefully I was an encouragement to some people. There’s always usually one good thing you can say [to people].”

We thought that Chenoweth was certainly one of the better guest judges yet and we loved the chemistry between her and Kara DioGuardi. Did you rate her as a judge? Leave your comments below.
