American Idol 2010: Michael Lynche makes Kara DioGuardi cry with ‘This Woman’s Work’ (VIDEO)

American Idol singer Michael Lynche is on a roll. He returned to form and impressed the judges with his performance on last week’s show and last night he managed to bring Kara DioGuardi to tears with the emotion of his song.

The new baby daddy closed the show with ‘This Woman’s Work’ by Kate Bush and the judges unanimously agreed that it was brilliant. We liked the performance and appreciated the new vocal direction, but we think we must have missed something and may need to watch this one again. It was good but we didn’t think it was crying and ravingly wonderful….

Judges Comments:

Randy Jackson: I got to give it to you again, this is crazy! For everybody who doesn’t know it was unbelievable. The last note was hot!

Ellen DeGeneres: One of my favourites songs and OMG that was so beautiful. You are the one to beat now.

Kara DioGuardi: (Crying) That was amazing, it’s so relevant for you. It’s respect for your wife and what you’ve gone through. I can relate to that so much and it brought me to tears.

Simon Cowell: This was so needed tonight. At the beginning of the show it was a bit boring and you come out with an incredibly hard song to sing and nailed it. Not just the best performance of the night, the best of the season so far.
