American Idol 2010: Michael Lynche ….the guy they cut from the final 24 (VIDEO)
We heard about Michael Lynche weeks before his audition aired on last night’s American Idol. He was the guy that reportedly made it through to American Idol’s final 24 and was then dropped when his father blabbed to a local newspaper.
“Big Mike” showed up for his initial audition with his expectant wife and news that they are having a baby girl.
The 26-year-old personal trainer from Astoria, NY sang “Unchained Melody” for the judges and had Kara and guest judge Kristin Chenoweth swooning over his performance.
“It’s kinda like a singing teddy bear,” Kara said, before the judges sent him through to Hollywood.
Randy Jackson added: “You can definitely sing.”
Big Mike was tackled to the ground by his family, and even Ryan Seacrest, in a big group hug, when he came out of the audition holding the magic ticket. It’s a pity he won’t get to go further.
