American Idol 2010: Tasha Layton will brighten up Hollywood
Tasha Layton was the first girl to get a golden ticket in tonight’s American Idol Los Angeles auditions. She sang her version of the Joss Stone song “Baby Baby Baby” and she actually sounded quite like Joss. She had that quality to her voice, which made her sound world weary and old soul, even though she is only 26 years old.
“I think people may like you,” Simon told her. Katy Perry was all smiles as well. “I love a good Southern belle!” she proclaimed when Layton finished.
Tasha is a personal assistant by day and a minister by night and Simon is convinced if she makes the Top 12, there will be a chorus of “Oh Happy Day.” What did you think of Tasha? Leave your comments below.
