American Idol 2010: We hated Siobhan Magnus’ “Any Man of Mine” (VIDEO)

Siobhan Magnus closed last night’s American Idol show with her rendition of Shania Twain’s ‘Any Man Of Mine.’

During their mentoring session Shania told Siobhan to pep the song up a little saying:

‘Even though it’s a fun song, you’ve gotta put more attitude into those lyrics. Let your character come out through those words to make them come alive.

Siobhan’s wardrobe decisions were as erratic as ever this week. She looked like a thrift shop Lady Gaga with her mismatching dress, boots and bird nest hair!

We thought her voice was woeful, it was all over the place and pitchy to the max! Shania watched from the audience, clapping along in support, but with a wistful look in her eye. And just to give Twain a complete, full-service slap in the face, Siobhan did her stupid “trademark” scream, eyes looking slightly dead as she gave the audience exactly what she thinks they want……we don’t know about them but we hated the performance from beginning to end!

Judges Comments

Randy Jackson: I loved it! I love the whole punk country look, with the boots, the whole nine, the big notes. I loved it, I loved it.

Ellen DeGeneres: Way to pull the Shania Twain into the station. Good one. Good way to end the show! Fantastic!

Kara DioGuardi: Guess who’s back? Siobhan!

Simon Cowell: Do you know what? I really really liked that song, and I’m not normally a fan of country music. I thought the song was perfect. I think the screaming at the end may have gone a little bit far. The audience are with me on this one, it was almost like you were giving birth up there in the end.

WTF Moment! Seriously? Not one single judge called out the terrible singing on that performance? Were they listening to something else?
