Lauren Mink was an immnediate hit when she made her American Idol debut last night.

The blonde beauty works with disabled young adults for a living and admitted that she loves her career, saying:

My job is pretty much the best job imaginable, other than singing. I get to play every day for a job.

However Mink’s other real passion in life is performing and we’d say she has a real talent for it, as the hairs definitely raised on the back of our necks when we heard her sing ‘Country Strong’ on the Fox talent show’s season premiere.

The Savannah auditions definitely needed a good country singer and Lauren brought that to the tryouts with ease. She’s naturally beautiful and has a sunny disposition, which certainly helps too.

The judges loved her performance, with Steve Tyler raving:

That was beautiful. You’ve got so much passion behind the notes. It was beautiful. Nice little audition there girl.

Randy Jackson added:

I liked that, very nicely done.
