American Idol: Carrie Underwood & Randy Travis ‘I Told You So’ Blew Me Away!
I think it would be fair to say that I am no fan of Country music. I’ve never liked Garth brooks and before last week’s American Idol show I’d never heard of Randy Travis either. So when I heard that American Idol was going to host a Grand Ole Opry week I wasn’t overly excited about the prospect. However Carrie Underwood’s performance during the results show may just have made me reconsider my thoughts on all things country.
Carrie sang ‘I Told You So’ with last weeks mentor Randy Travis and for me, it really was one of those hair standing on the back of the neck performances. The emotion Carrie put into her voice was astounding and her vocals were effortless. Like Kelly Clarkson the week before her, Carrie is proof that American Idol really can be the birth place from which amazing stars emerge.

Thanks for believing in Carrie Underwood. If you like this you should hear her Alone, Paradice City and Stand By Your Man. Carrie can sing anything. She is nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the ACM awards show and it is partly fan voted so go to ABC.com and help her win. She would be only the 7th woman to win this award.

many women get overlooked because it is usually handed to the males im so proud that miss carrie is representing for the hardworking women in the industry, go carrie dont forget to vote for her!!
she is so beautifull honestly God must have spent more time on her because she has the looks, brains, and voice…and i hear she;s a real sweetheart!!
Lisa, I, too, was not a fan of country music until I saw Carrie Underwood perform on season 4 of American Idol. She is the sole reason I’m a country music fan. She is such a talented, humble person. It’s very easy to get caught up in listening to her music and watching her performances. I am impressed by her appreciation and celebration of those who preceeded her.
I totally agree—Carrie Underwood was amazing on American Idol singing “I told you so” with Randy Travis. I have been a fan of Carrie’s since she won American Idol and in my opinion she has been the best American Idol winner so far. She is an amazing talent and I can’t wait for another CD to come out.
Thankfully I have Sky+ and I recorded Carrie and Randy singing this song, I just love it. I thought Carrie was outstanding, I missed the American Idol when she won and didnt really know much about her, I do now! Never heard of Randy Travis before that show either but I’m going to look him up now too as I really liked him.
Chillingly beautiful performance by Carrie Underwood on American Idol with Randy Travis singing I told you so. She was simply magnificient. I have a new respect for country music since I heard her.
I had goose bumps all over my body, this song is one I sung growing up and love Randy and to she Carrie so excited to hear him when he started makes me really appriciate that she still knows who made country music what it is today. God Bless
