American Idol frontrunner Crystal Bowersox has hit out at reports claiming that she was considering leaving the show.

Sources had suggested that Crystal was buckling under the pressure of the Idol juggernaut and only a pep talk with Ryan Seacrest convinced her not to leave. However the 24 year old has insisted that as always, the media blew everything out of proportion and wrote on Idol’s official Facebook page:

Media is a funny thing. Stretched and skewed and far from the truth. Lets play telephone and see what we come up with!!

However there must be a smidgen of truth in the rumours because she also wrote:

no apologies for being human. Life is always testing ones strength and weakness threshold. That’s how we learn how strong we
really are:-)
