American Idol: Is Adam Lambert The New Lady Gaga
No one could accuse the former American Idol runner up Adam Lambert of being boring. Always pushing the boundaries (think of his American Music Awards performance) the singer has admitted that people often compare him to outrageous performer Lady Gaga, but he thinks they should be comparing her to him!
Speaking to The News Of The World Lambert joked:
“People call me the Lad Gaga but I reckon she should be the Madam Lambert. I mean, I am older!
“But seriously, GaGa is someone who appreciates the artists of the 70s.
“The acts doing well now are theatrical, that is what makes a popstar nowadays.
“Not many men have been going that route lately, I eased myself in by taking risks because I wanted people to understand my music first.”
You may not know that Lady Gaga even wrote a track titled ‘Fever’ on Adam’s debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’.
“It is a great collaboration but there is mention of a guy in the lyrics so they wouldn’t play it in the States because we can be so conservative,” Adam explained.
Adam also recently revealed that he will be making his American Idol comeback later this season and we just can’t wait to see what he pulls out of the bag for that one!

Awww, I love that two of the fiercest people on the planet are friends!
If GaGa and Lambert did a concert together I would camp outside for days to get tickets. I would remortgage my house to get that opportunity.
Let me know when you do, I’ll send my money w/you.
I’m so pleased that Adam is playing an AI results show because it means that it will be shown on UK TV and I’m really looking forward to that.

When did Adam say this? Does he ever use the word “reckon?”
No. GaGa is and always was, a creative force in her own right. Adam is more like Madonna. A lot of stage glitz, boring music and being outrageous/inappropriate for it’s own sake (after points have already been made decades earlier, more creatively re sexuality & gender bending) with the music far behind in the creative dust. They like to reinvent the wheel blandly. The difference between AL and Madonna is Adam has a better voice.
i actually liked him during his run on idol, thought that with the right management , and guidance, that he could very well have filled a niche in the rock/glam rock vein that has been long dormant, and ready for a revival. i thought he really had the goods to do this. i started to begin getting turned off by him during the idol tour, when reports of diva like behavior began surfacing, and he began making indefensible comments about his fans, and other things, culminating in the ama debacle…. his personality and attitude began to just rub me the wrong way till it overshadowed everything, blotting out any enjoyment at all of the hope and promise i’d seen on idol… i believe he’s one hell of an actor, because he sure fooled a lot of folks like me who were fans of him when he was on the show, but have steadily been turned off him, and can’t believe we were suckered in like we were in the 1st place… he’s running out of people he can fool, and all he has are a small core group of die hards who will continue enabling him in his delusions of becoming the international rawk star god from planet fierce… that ship has sailed.
Love Lady Gaga and especially love Adam Lambert! great news about a come back performance on AI this year, can’t wait to see him on UK tv screens again!
Holly,
I guess that you heard a lot of rumors. Adam is nothing like a diva. He is down to earth. His fan base is increasing every minute. Look at the people are following him people at facebook and twitter. I love him more every day!!!
Holly, I really suspect your motives for trying to revive old rumours about Adam being a diva when all of that rubbish was refuted at the time by his fellow Idols who have never had anything but praise and respect for him, despite his fans far outnumbering theirs when they were touring in the summer, and the comments he made about his fans to an unsympathetic journalist were tricked out of him if you watch the video that was made of the interview, what he was encouraged to say in jest was reported as a serious complaint. I think you have an ulteriour motive in rehashing this nonsense, maybe you voted for someone else and think that they should be getting the attention that Adam is getting. One look at Adams official website shows that his fanbase had practically doubled since the end of Idol, and that is active fans who go online there, many of them attracted by his AMA performance and subsequent live shows, and not fans of American Idol at all.
