Outgoing American Idol contestant Katie Stevens has admitted that she is ‘proud of herself’ and has “no regrets” about her time on the show.

The 17-year-old, was voted off the show last week after her Elvis themed performance. In an interview with USA Today the schoolgirl admitted:

“I know it’s cliché to say, but I have no regrets about anything that I’ve done.”

“I’m proud of myself, and I’m happy with my accomplishment of making it this far. I’m going to go home with dignity and pride in everything that I’ve done.”

Revealing that her favourite moments on the show were those spent with the celebrity mentors, Katie added: “Usher was incredible. Miley Cyrus – she’s amazing, too, and it was great to get her feedback, since she’s my age and very, very successful.

“Just getting their feedback on what it’s like in the business and how to better your performing. It was amazing to get that contact and that feedback.”
