Former American Idol winner, Ruben Studdard, is rumoured to be recording the show’s all new farewell song, a cover of Kenny Loggins’s ‘Celebrate Me Home’.

Terry Lewis, who co-produced the song with Jimmy Jam, said: “It’s very soulful, very heartfelt. Ruben is singing his pants off.”

Ruben would need to be singing his pants off! Considering he was dropped from his record label last year, this may be the last gig he gets for a while!
