Andrew Garcia: ‘American Idol judges don’t know me!’

Outgoing American Idol contestant Andrew Garcia has admitted that he did get annoyed when the judges repeatedly called him boring.

Even celebrity mentor Adam Lambert told him that he needed to make his performance more interesting and asked him to put some more energy into his song. However in an interview with MTV, Andrew claimed that the judges don’t hang out with him and don’t know him personally at all.

He said:

Well, onstage, I was focused more on just performing. They’re talking about personality; they don’t really hang out with me, so they can’t really talk about someone’s personality if they’re not trying to hang out with me. If they hung out with me, they’ll love me. Guarantee.

Andrew also admitted that he feels the judges are being much tougher on this year’s hopefuls. He added:

I felt like it was harder, just ’cause they were being really hard this year. I don’t know why, but they’re being really, really, really hard on the judging.
