Adam Lambert has enjoyed an amazing few months and is no doubt at the height of his career but he knows that he’s only at the top, because his fans put him there.
The American Idol star is one of the few contestants to come off the reality TV show and go on to find long term and mainstream success and that was never better demonstrated than when he took to the stage with Queen again last month at the iHeart Radio music festival.
The flamboyant singer impressed critics and fans alike with his emotional rendition of Who Wants To Live Forever and afterwards legendary guitarist Brian May praised Lambert as ‘extraordinary’ and ‘amazing.’
Lambert is currently working on a new album, which he has claimed will bring him back to his rock and roll roots and last night he reached out to his fans, who have helped him reach this stage of his career.
Adam has a global fanbase of dedicated Glamberts and he tweeted them all yesterday saying:
“Hey Glamberts. Love u. 😉 just wanted to say so.”
Adam’s been seeking inspiration from some of his own idols over the past few days and he admitted that he had been very much ‘inspired’ by the amazing show woman that is P!nk at her most recent gig. Lambert posted:
“Last night I saw the mighty @Pink. Her concert was soooo good!!! Fully inspired.”
He is a fan of Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen too and added:
“What a weekend! Saw @taylormomsen and The Pretty Reckless on Friday night at the HOB. She was great!!!”
It’s not long now until Adam makes his great bit Glee debut and he seems just as excited about it as we are. He will play Kurt Hummel’s nemesis in the Fox musical drama and after a new promo was released, showing some of his stint, he tweeted:
Are you looking forward to watching Adam on Glee? Were you touched by his obvious love for fans? Leave your comments below..
