Brian May confirms Psy collaboration & promises more Queen & Adam Lambert events
Brian May has confirmed that he is planning to work with South Korean singer Psy.
The pair met last week when the ‘Gangnam Style’ hitmaker was in London to perform on the Britain’s Got Talent final and at the Capital FM Summertime Ball and Psy revealed that plans were underfoot when he tweeted a picture of them chatting with Kerry Ellis.
The musical trio had brunch and the Queen star revealed that they had an ‘interesting’ meeting and are hoping to work together on a new song soon.
May told MTV: “I met the guy and we had a very interesting chat.
“He’s a very thoughtful man and a significant artist. He’s also encyclopaedic about Queen and says the reason he wanted to sing is because he saw Queen at Wembley ’86 on video.
“We have a couple of ideas, so yeah I’m up for it.”
Brian revealed that he and his Queen bandmates are also planning some new gigs with American Idol star Adam Lambert in the near future.
Lambert fronted the legendary band for a series of sold out shows and high profile concerts last year and he’s set to return if May has anything to do with it.
“We are talking about doing something with Adam, probably for TV. He’s an amazing artist and a very nice guy. We keep in touch and have a good friendship.
“We’re not talking about touring yet, but we are talking about doing an event.”
Adam has plenty of live performing experience and last weekend he was on stage at Pittsburgh Pride. He tweeted:
“PITTSBURGH! I had SO much fun!!!! Thank you all for being so amazing today! Great ENERGY all around. ;)”
