The penultimate round of auditions sees the Idol tour enter Salt Lake City, which sees the oddball action continue with Simon Cowell receiving a hug from a rabbit, while there are some of the most promising auditionees yet – and a member of the OSMOND family!

David Osmond was the first person to hit the audition stage – nephew to Donny and Marie – and like his father Alan who sang in the first generation of the Osmonds, he also suffers from multiple sclerosis. Despite Paula Abdul’s reservations that he would be too accustomed to singing in a group and perform as a front man, the 28 year-old kept the Osmond family dream alive as he picked up the Golden Ticket to Hollywood.
