Gordon Ramsay has revealed that he would like to be a guest judge on American Idol.

After insisting that Simon Cowell is irreplaceable, Gordon went on to offer himself up for a guest judging role.

“It’s a very tough call, that,” Ramsay told Access Hollywood. “I don’t think Simon is replaceable, to be honest. You need someone like Jamie Foxx to be talented, Will Smith, you know… [someone] incredibly clever, great voice, and sort of someone that could be… of the moment and sort of inspire them. It’s going to be a very tough call to replace Simon Cowell.”

On a future appearance on the talent show he added:

“Right now, I’ve got a schedule beyond belief but yeah, I’d do Idol one day. As a guest judge, yeah, definitely.”

However, he added: “I definitely wouldn’t eat the food after. Have you seen the food behind the set? It’s f**king disgusting!”
