Idol Gives Back 2010 to star Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Alicia Keys, the Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox and Jeff Beck
Idol Gives Back have started to release details of their lineup for this month’s show. The charity based show will feature performances by teen sensation Justin Bieber, former winner Carrie Underwood, as well as Alicia Keys, the Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox and Jeff Beck.
For those not familiar with the American Idol spinoff, the IGB official website says:
Idol Gives Back, the historic Emmy Award-winning television event and music celebration has raised more than $140 million to benefit charities around the world and across the United States. Beneficiaries for this year’s event include Children’s Health Fund, Feeding America, Malaria No More, Save the Children’s U.S. Programs and the United Nations Foundation.
In previous years, Idol Gives Back has welcomed President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, former President George W. Bush, Brad Pitt, Bono, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Annie Lennox, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Josh Groban, Pink, Celine Dion, Robin Williams, Ben Stiller and others.
As well as performances from all the stars mentioned above, we will also be treated to video footage of last year’s Idol winner Kris Allen in Haiti and fellow former winner David Cook in Ethiopia, both with the highlighting the work done by the UN Foundation.
The big “Idol Gives Back” extravaganza will air Wednesday, April 21 2010.
