You watch a show like American Idol, one dedicated supposedly to the art of singing and you expect to hear some talented singers. It’s bad enough when the contestants disappoint but ten times worse when a supposed superstar fails to deliver.

Kanye West performed his new song ‘Heartless’ on the show this week and there has been a huge web wide furore about the sheer awfulness of his singing.

The song was pre-recorded and though many fans have accused Kanye of lip-syncing I seriously doubt that he would plan and mime to a vocal of such a poor standard.

It’s not the first time that I’ve wondered why people make such a big fuss over Mr West. Thank God for the vocal skills of Kelly Clarkson who pulled off a much more professional performance on the same show.
