Nigel Lythgoe Says There Will Be Few Changes On American Idol 2009

American Idol producer, Nigel Lythgoe, has revealed that he plans to change very little about next years series of American Idol.

All three of the current judges (Randy, Paula and Simon) have signed up for the 2009 series.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Nigel commented: “We are going to keep the idea of being able to play instruments. We really liked that.”

Nigel also revealed that he was not surprised when David Cook scooped this years AI title.

“I couldn’t be surprised because I knew the results leading up to that position,” he explained. “I think Archuleta performed better than Cook did [in the finale], but I think the nation looked at [the whole season] and balanced out who they liked.”

  1. LaShawna Curry Says:

I really really think american idol should come to oklahoma city in 2009. It would be a great opportunity for many. Oklahoma doesn’t really get a lot of respect because everyone thinks its a boring state…but I really think they should come here.
