Jim Carrey’s daughter Jane Carrey was a surprise entrant to this year’s American Idol.
The 24 year old singer was featured on last night’s episode of the Fox singing show and was seen auditioning in San Diego for judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steve Tyler.
Kyle Crews was seen stunning the American Idol judges with his singing talent, on last night’s episode of the show.
The 19 year old full time student rocked up to audition in San Diego last year and in his VT, he made a big deal out of his college boy, fraternity filled lifestyle. So much so that we really expected him to be a bit of a douche.
Ali Shields certainly did not bore viewers on last night’s American Idol episode.
The 19 year old hopeful, from California revealed that she only auditioned for the hit Fox singing show, after once performing on the Ellen DeGeneres show. Ellen, of course, judged on Idol for one year only back in 2010 and Ali was such a huge fan that she wrote the blonde star a song and was invited to meet her in person.
American Idol may have only kicked off last night for the 2012 season premiere, but already some very eagle eyed and keen fans of the show have compiled a list of contestants who have made it through Hollywood Week.
Last night we saw the first hopefuls being awarded their golden tickets for the bootcamp stage of the hit Fox talent show and standing out during the episode were singers such as Phillip Phillips, Brittany Kerr, Lauren Mink and Colton and Schyler Dixon.
Phillip Phillips works in a pawn shop, so already he had an interesting story for last night’s American Idol season premiere.
The young singer showed up to audition in Savannah late last year and admitted that he loved working in the interesting shop, but really wants to perform for a living. He was the last person to tryout for the judges that day and from the start, Randy Jackson admitted he had a ‘feeling’ it was going to be good.
Brittany Kerr was seen impressing the judges before she even opened her mouth to sing on last night’s American Idol season premiere.
The stunning performer looked like a supermodel when she showed up to audition in Savannah and before she even started her rendition of ‘Spoiled’ by Joss Stone, Steve Tyler declared:
‘I say yes!.’
Lauren Mink was an immnediate hit when she made her American Idol debut last night.
The blonde beauty works with disabled young adults for a living and admitted that she loves her career, saying:
My job is pretty much the best job imaginable, other than singing. I get to play every day for a job.
When Schyler Dixon showed up to audition for American Idol in Savannah this year, she claimed she was going it alone and wouldn’t be leaning on her brother Colton as she had the year before.
He insisted that he would be ‘taking a back seat’ and was just there to support his sibling during her tryout for the hit Fox show, though Schyler did confess:
‘I’m a little nervous without him.’
Haley Reinhart has announced that her debut single will be released for sale very, very soon.
The stunning singer finished in third place on last year’s season of American Idol and plans to release her first song on the 1st of March, right when the hype for the new series of Idol will be in full swing.
Haley made her big announcement on Twitter at the weekend and told her followers:
Brooke White has revealed that she will become a mother for the first time later this year.
The former American Idol contestant confirmed that she is expecting a baby with her husband Dave Ray and is due to give birth in May.
