American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest has addressed reports that Simon Cowell is planning to leave the show after its upcoming season.

During an appearance on Good Morning America, Seacrest said:

”As far as I know, those are just rumors…He has not told me anything about leaving the show.”

“American Idol” has single-handedly turned Simon Cowell into a household name, and he has numerous properties around the world as a result. However, he has hinted at leaving the show numerous times over the past several years, and he could have a greater share of the pie as a part of “X Factor.”
