Simon Cowell Getting Ready To Leave American Idol?
Simon Cowell looks like he is getting ready to step away from the show which has made him a household name all over the world.
In an interview, published today on movieweb.com, Simon was asked if he had any plans for future on American idol and his response was:
Well, nothing is going to last forever. I think the exit point to a point is determined by the public who eventually are going to get sick to death of me, if they haven’t already. I’d always, in my mind, kind of thought I would go up until the end of my contract, which would mean two more seasons after this one, which would have made it nine in total and nine years is probably enough to inflict on anyone. So that’s what I sort of have in my mind. Can the show exist without me? Absolutely. It’ll probably get better.

Maybe this is a wise decision, American Idol has had a good run. American viewers could do with a break from the ridiculous contestants who are all overconfident and the majority talentless.
Simon has also made a fortune from it and maybe the time is right to consider the British talent show scene and give it some credibility.
BTW Simon Cowell does have a girlfriend.
