American viewers could do with a break from the ridiculous contestants who are all overconfident and the majority talentless. Simon has also made a fortune from it and maybe the time is right to consider the British talent show scene and give it some credibility. BTW Simon Cowell does have a girlfriend. Maureen Newcastle.
