Simon Cowell has admitted that he finds Paula Abdul as confusing as the rest of us but admits that there is a certain spark between them.

“Paula’s frustrating, she’s annoying and I can’t understand half of what she’s talking about – but there’s incredible comfort between us,” he told TV Guide magazine.

“I think we’re possibly secretly in love with each other.”

When talking about next years season of the show, Simon was unable to say if the new judge, Kara DioGuardi would be back.

“I would imagine so,” he said. “The only say I have is about Ryan (Seacrest), Randy (Jackson) and Paula. I’ve always made it clear that I wouldn’t like to do the show without them.”
