Simon Cowell To Become Highest Paid TV Star Ever?

American TV bosses are said to be considering doubling Simon Cowell’s $45 million annual salary, a move which will make him the highest paid TV star in history.
The offer is hoped to tempt Cowell to stay with US TV netowrk, Fox after he told TV Guide that this may be his last year on Ameircan idol. He said:
“My contract ends in 2010 and that’s when I’ll probably leave. I’ve had nine seasons, which I think is a lot.
“I’ve had the best time ever in my life but you have to consider doing something new or taking a break.”
Cowell insisted: “Everyone thinks this is a negotiation but I don’t negotiate like that. If I want more money I’ll ask for it, and if they don’t want to pay me they’ll say no.”
A Fox source told the Daily Star Sunday: “Simon leaving is not an option we are prepared to consider. We are ready to offer whatever it takes to keep him here and keep us on top.”
